poplar trees - too late to cut?
First-light replied to left field's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I have about 7 acres that is full of Poplar and pine trees. The pine trees have mostly died out because of the real big poplar trees. This acreage is a mess because of a lot of fallen trees. Deer love to bed in it. I was thinking of cutting them all down and letting that area start over. Geno you would leave some up? -
Very nice!

No such thing as flounder anymore! LOL you know we would catch 20 flounder off the local dock in Northport. Not anymore they just went away. It was big for the local fleet but wit the lobster that is gone. It's a shame on the North Fork of LI. I can a s a kid remembering riding my bike down to the dock. Stoping at the local bait and tackle buying a dozen sand worms and catching so much flounder. Those times will never come back.

I dumped 80k into the market in 2009. I had no business doing it. My Ex just bought me out of our house (a good thing) so I said fuck it. Boy was I glad I said "fuck it" a line from Yellowstone!

Where To Start In The Hunt For A Covid Shot?
First-light replied to Lawdwaz's topic in General Chit Chat
Along with finding a shot I was at my doctor yesterday and he said you can bet in the next few weeks they will drop the age to 55. I have a tentative appointment at Stoneybrook University. Word of mouth got me the appointment. Good luck -
My neighbor paid $125000 for the 68 acre parcel next to mine. It has a 26x26 cabin in need of repairs. No electric or water on a seasonal road. We both wanted the property because it borders each parcel. He ended up getting it knowing the owner much better than me. Steuben county near Avoca.

Look up the tax bill online and see if it being taxed correctly. If that cabin is at the way top it's not ideal because of snow and mud issues. Surprised it has electric.
