PAV, you are looking at the first list I posted, "Top School Salaries". The list I just posted is strictly "teachers". Give it a look you will be shocked. Our district pays like the money falls from the sky. We are the second highest taxed school district on LI, maybe even the country. Sadly our BOE president is in bed with the union. Protest too vocally at the meetings and your child will suffer the consequences. I have seen it happen to another parent. Sad but true, teachers are very vindictive people nowadays. Their entitlement beliefs are quite strong and anyone who challenges them is villified. There is nothing the taxpayers can do until our BOE's re-election next year. I have been fact sharing with the community and it looks like we have a very strong chance to get a "NO": vote this year. Wish us luck.

Okay "Class" is in: Lesson 1: Teachers work 183 part-time days a year. UPS drivers work 235 full-time days a year Lesson 2: Teachers only need to actually teach 3.3 hours daily. UPS drivers must deliver packages for 8 hours. Lesson 3: Teachers are paid by tax money taken from citizens at the threat of their children's future. UPS drivers are paid by a private corporation that generates jobs and tax revenue. Lesson 4: Teachers get a raise and gauranteed employment once tenured. UPS drivers get a raise but can be fired at anytime. Lesson 5: Your school district has NO competition and you are forced to pay for them no matter how mis-managed they are. UPS must constantly get better or die against aggressive competition. Lesson 6: Teachers work in a comfortable climate controlled environment. UPS drivers work in any condition, snow, rain, heat, cold. Lesson 7: THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON You have to pay for your school taxes no matter how corrupt and inept your school sytem is. You can STOP using UPS at anytime and use someone else, and you won't have to pay a penny to UPS. PAV really! Just take your pay and be discrete about it. That is what the teachers I know do. They know they are looting their neighbors savings but at least they don't boast about it.

I see this district does what our does. The cuts will increase class size to "21" !! What size were they before? 15 like ours? Our teachers had 25-30 kids at any given time when I was in school. No wonder they have such large staffs.

Talk about apples and oranges. Have you ever been to Germany? Their whole culture and outlook on health is different from us. Plus I wouldn't compare our lazy municipal workers to Germany's. GSA has brought to light the glutony and waste of the public sector workforce.

Virgil I am not familiar with your "new speak" so I won't my time trying to help you, but I have to ask. What is a "third party payor"? Is that a code word for the "working slob that pays taxes so people like Virgil can sit around and benefit from it?"

Not trying to play dumb, just trying to understand what you meant. Can you explain what "no payment" means? How do the doctors and hospitals get paid for their services if there is NO payment? Maybe you want to retract or correct your statement. Your statements are not helping the Obamacare side of the audience.

This coming from a guy who thinks that healthcare paid for by a limited number of citizens and re-distributed through the government is "free".

Why don't you have yourself declared a ward of the state if you are in favor of having other people make decisions for you? Your mindset offers nothing to promote or advance our nation as it was intended.

The biggest problem now is simply the number of people working for the government. They are a voting block that can start to sway elections.

The enumerated powers are a list of items found in Article I, section 8 of the US Constitution that set forth the authoritative capacity of the United States Congress. In short, Congress may exercise the powers that the Constitution grants it, subject to explicit restrictions in the Bill of Rights and other protections in the Constitutional text. The 10th Amendment states that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." In terms you can understand, if the constitution doesn't say you can do it, then YOU CAN'T DO IT! Got it?? The constitution was written just for things like Obama care.

Doc, Echelon is a real government program, not a hoax or conspiracy. They actually had a segment on 60 Minutes years ago. Yes, key words trigger it and the computer will spit out this thread and we will read it to make sure there is not threat in it. As far as your second statement, no one is advocationg a trouble, just saying prepare for it should it happen.

You are right about the electronic flag. The "Echelon" program was triggered the minute it saw .223 in the first email. Big brother can read our thread, we haven't said anything they haven't heard before. Prepare for the worst and live for the best and you'll always come out on top.
