  1. This is about a total gun ban, AR's are just a facade. They are modeling the ban after Australia's ban.
  2. Those who oppose gun ownership are typically less knowledgable and intelligent that those who are pro gun. As a result of their limited their brain creates an unwarranted fear that over takes their rational mind.
  3. Better yet, you should the poll results from our local Long Island newspaper about gun control. The newspaper is a left wing rag, but I guess it has some smart readers. Scroll to bottom to see results. You can take poll if you like, but not required. http://www.newsday.com/take-newsday-s-gun-ownership-survey-1.4441485
  4. Did you guys see the results of a gun poll by our local liberal long island rag. The results are surprising. http://www.newsday.c...urvey-1.4441485
  5. She is a disturbing individual. She didn't call for the death penalty of the man who killed her husband and others, but she did call for the banning of 10+ round magazines. I guess she didn't want to see a fellow democrat put to death for his criminals actions. Those democrats should be ashamed to show there faces in public.
  6. You can try some minwax stain (from home depot) on the cut then brush on some laquer. Let dry and lightly sand, then another coat of laquer or multilple coats as needed. You can always wet sand down the laquer after it is dried.
  7. Good point, the Model 870 and 700 are weapons of war. Guess they must be banned since Obama doesn't want the weapons of war owned by civilians.
  8. You may have better luck selling them if you can prove they are pre-ban, which is almost impossible except in a few cases. Many mags made under government contract have a date stamp on the inside of the box. Remove the bottom plate and spring, and see what you got. Good chance you will see the month-year stamp in there. Always fully investigate all laws before doing anything. I am just offering this advice to validate date of manufacture.
  9. They may not take the time to read the full email, so get your point out in the first sentance. I can guarantee you that they do tally the emails based on those for and those againt this pending bill. Then they may take us seriously if we far out way the anti-gun crowd in our correspondance.
  10. Doc, what is the comment about Ruby Ridge? I watched the entire congressional investigation on CSPAN when that happened and think you need to read up on the case.
  11. The only thing that will help our cause is to increase our lobbying power. Here is a link to join the NRA for $25. instead of the annual cost of $35. https://membership.nrahq.org/forms/signup.asp?CampaignID=XR020795 So what are you waiting for? Click the link and sign up. A membership also makes a great gift for a fellow sportsman.
  12. Would you mind providing the link to the paragraph above? Sounds like a CNN or some other yellow journalism rag quote.
  13. That sounds like Bank of America, last April they snubbed another gun maker http://www.theblaze.com/stories/bank-of-america-allegedly-drops-mcmillan-gun-company-for-political-reasons/ They are a horrible bank for other reasons as well.
  14. Just being bottled in China is enough of a warning for me. Not sure why we allow anything we ingest to come from an enemy nation that feeds it own people melamine and other poisons.
  15. Funny how the rate of flu cases is rising even though we are vacinating more people each year. Probably just a coincidence. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/01/08/chicago-area-hospitals-turning-away-patients-due-to-severe-flu-season/
  16. Never got one and never will. They are bottled in China and you are out of your mind to be injecting anything from China into your body.
  17. Enough of this I don't like the NRA, I can't afford it BS!! You benefit from the efforts of our NRA dues, if you know it or not. Stop living off the benefits of our donations and buck up already. Pay your share, earn your own keep. I have never heard such bs in all my life. You don't deserve your firearms and I hope you are the first to lose them if/when confiscation comes. You want elitis?? How about this, I won't reply to anyone who does not support the NRA. If your not with us, you're against us.
  18. Agreed, the NRA is the largest citizens group in the country. If we don't unite as gun owners then we will lose our rights, all our rights. Anyone who owns a firearm and is not a member does not deserve to have them.
  19. Call your state rep tomorrow. The democrats now control all branches of the state government and can pass any legislation they want to. WAKE UP!! New York: Gun Owners Brace for Historic Assault on Gun Rights in Albany Next Wednesday, the New York Assembly and Senate will convene for the 2013 legislative session. Anti-gun Governor Andrew Cuomo has expressed his desire to make gun control a top legislative agenda item. Gun owners should pay particular attention to his State of the State address next week. These proposals do nothing except criminalize law-abiding gun owners, target shooters and hunters, and do nothing to prevent crime or impact public safety. Anti-gun politicians, jumping at the opportunity to exploit tragedy to further a political agenda that has no public benefit, are going for it all. Cuomo’s public comments have gone so far as to suggest confiscation of your LEGALLY OWNED property as an option. New York currently has some of the toughest gun control laws in the country. Instead of focusing on new solutions to actual problems, anti-gun lawmakers are simply recycling the same old failed gun control policies of the past. Such policies have had no effect on public safety. In fact, an example of this is the state eliminating its costly and ineffective ballistic imaging database, CoBis, just last session. Several bills have already been pre-filed for the 2013 legislative session. One bill of particular concern has been introduced by Senator Ruben Diaz (D-32), Senate Bill 1422, which expands New York’s “assault-weapons” ban. This overly-broad language of the bill includes ALL semi-automatic firearms which accept a detachable magazine. Further, it would remove provisions allowing for grandfathered guns to be lawfully owned. New York currently has a ten-round magazine limit, and state lawmakers and the governor are discussing taking that restriction even lower. In addition, the conversation has included more draconian registration requirements for all firearms. The slate of gun control bills this session is expected to be long. Every gun owner in New York is at risk of being branded a criminal should these terrible bill proposals become law. Anti-gun forces are going to move swiftly and your urgent assistance is needed. Please contact your Assemblyman, Senator and the Governor TODAY and respectfully urge them to end this onslaught against lawful gun owners. You may contact the Governor’s office by phone (518) 474-8390 or by clicking here. Contact information for your state legislators can be found by clicking here.
  20. 20-30 years?? More like 10-15 with good behavior.
  21. Maybe he was from out of town and didn't know Bloombergs gun laws.
  22. They look like a couple of rookies, hopefully next time they won't let their guard down. Just what the NRA said though, a gun in the good guys hands is the only match for a gun in the bad guys hands. "Police Officer Levay, 27, who was shot in his lower back (and protected by his vest), fired back at the shooter, killing him."
  23. Sad that this conversation should even take place. That a government should question its populace from arming themselves. To think that patriots shed their blood and gave their lives to create what used to be a free nation and that we lose a piece of that freedom everyday.
  24. This is also a great quote from the so-called press conference, The last thing is I’d like to re-state what we stated this morning about anyone that harasses, threatens, or intimidates, or interferes with the investigation, utilizing any social media of any type relative to this horrific crime will be fully investigated and fully prosecuted to the extent of the law. We’re talking about harassment includes in-person contact but also contact on the Internet, social media, telephone, and any other means of communication. Basically, don't investigate this case in any form or we'll prosecute you. That's a first!
  25. You call that a press conference? Did you actually read the transcript? It details nothing of the crime. Two weeks later and we still have no facts. Here is an interesting statement: The weapon that was utilized most of the time during this horrific crime was identified as a Bushmaster AR-15 assault type weapon. It had high-capacity magazines. In addition to that, the subject had in his possession a Glock 10mm, a Sig Sauer 9mm – both weapons – all weapons had multiple magazines and additional ammunition. What is his definition of "most of the time"?
