  1. Take a pass….Once you're on their land, you are at their total mercy. I don't care what kind of permit or permission you have.
  2. Good points…..Over the years, I have gotten home, a few times, to find tags long gone off of deer I had tagged just a few hours earlier.
  3. Yeah ..I didn't even know anyone even made a 16 anymore. That gun was a doll !! But I have other toys I want…LOL!!!
  4. Yup..Either zip tie it around a bucks antler or punch a hole through a does ear and zip it through that.
  5. I have checked these out too. The over unders and side by sides seem to be very well made. The fit and finish are beautiful. I was eyeing a double in 16 gauge, but I controlled myself…for once.
  6. That would tick off anyone. I use to hunt a state park and every once in a while I would get a mountain bike goof or two come peddling through. It sucked because I had to pay to bow hunt there but the bikers just had to park their Volvo and start peddling.
  7. I have only seen one in 7F but I haven't been rally looking for them either. I made a mock scrape about a week ago. I checked it a couple days later and there was tracks in it but I think a deer just happened to walk through it. It didn't look like the scrape was worked.
  8. Get well soon. At least you won't miss prime time.

    chair blinds

I have to agree. It doesn't look comfortable at all and seems a bit restrictive. I would go for a pop up blind.
  10. Thanks…I can get a rifle chambered in 25-06 for practically nothing. Don't rally need it and I love my current deer rig. But……..
  11. Anyone hunt deer with this round? What is a good factory load for it?
  12. I picked up a pack of Rage Hypodermics today..45 bucks!!! for three?? What the hell!!! This is getting to be an expensive sport.
  13. One time I climbed up, got all set and never attached my bow to the rope. (might have done that more than once) Another time I sat and watched does, that I didn't want to shoot, and later realized that I never knocked an arrow. Another time I remembered to knock an arrow but left my release wrapped around the limb of my bow for the first hour or so…Im sure there is more dumbassery that I have forgotten about...
  14. Took it out today….it shoots great..accurate and a nice smooth trigger………Happy …Happy..
  15. I let them walk… Had a bad experience when I was in my teens…….Never again…..
  16. No you don't…LOL!!!
  17. Congrats to you and especially your wife!! Nice fat deer to boot.. You know you will never hear the end of you being so lazy….Right?? LOL!
  18. Sweet!! Must be nice to tag a bruiser this early!! Congrats
  19. Awesome !!! I love seeing old hunting photos like that..Makes your imagination go wild..Good luck..
  20. What a pain in the ars..but worth it…I had to wait for the guy to get off vacation, then he was blowing me off, finally made the deal, it took me a good week to get down to the County office to have it put on my permit, took a few days to get back to the FFL to find out that they spelled "Cobra" wrong (Cobera) back down to the County, to have it corrected and finally picked it up yesterday. WOW!
  21. LOL!! Next time send them a Pic of you enjoying a beautiful plate of chops and title it "Tofu this!!!" LOL!!!
  22. Last spring I stopped in to a local flea market that I have been going to for a few years now. I have gotten to know this one vender, well enough to say hello and shoot the bull for a minute or two. This trip the vender had some hunting items for sale. Two tree stands, some knives fanny packs etc….I picked out a decent box call. Then the vender starts on me. She says "don't tell me you hunt" "You seem like such a nice guy" She starts rolling her eyes and shaking her head in disapproval. I ask her why she is selling hunting equipment if she is so against hunting. Her only reply was that SHE doesn't use the stuff to kill animals. We went back and forth, but it was civil. She doesn't talk to me as much anymore, but when I stop in, I make it a point to always ask her if she has any hunting gear for sale. LOL!! She just grins...
