I have had 2 chocolates, both males, (English with the big block heads) My first was "Rudy" my favorite. Lost him when he was 13 about 5 years ago. He was an excellent bird dog. I got out of bird hunting and more into bow, so I didn't want another dog but the wife insisted. So the current dog is "Reggie" He's OK but I just can't warm up to him as much as my old friend Rudy. He was really my dog. He followed me every where. If I moved my truck to the other side of the driveway, he jummped in for the ride. I know that Rudy and Reggie are boy names, but thats my story. The other day I was in a local gun shop when I over heard a guy mention that he had an old High Standard .22 pistol, in the original box and that the pistol was "Unfired". I have always wondered ...how can you tell if a gun is unfired? Cant you have a gun that is in perfect condition, but has been fired and well cleaned? How do you know?

Seems to me that she has a chip on her shoulder, when it comes to the military and was just trying to find a way to mock them. Wouldn't surprise me to see her pounding on a drum at an occupy event some day.

I just watched aFace The Nation video of Bob Shieffer interviewing Dianne Fienstein on her new gun control bill. This woman is either #1 too stupid to male ice cubes or #2 a pathological liar. My guess is #2. Among the "Facts" she laid out, in defense of her ill-conceived bill, was that when gang members get in shoot outs with police, the gang members "Generally use AK-47's". And that when a "Slide stock" is installed it turns a weapon fully automatic. This woman is sickening. I tried to post the video but Im having trouble. I guess what Im saying is that I understand the reluctance to speak to the media, given what some of them do. The media, as a hole, is not pro gun but I think that there are reporters out there who will report fairly, no matter how he or she feels about the subject. The local media, at least where I live, has its share of Piers Morgan want'a bes. I have seen it first hand. The reporter, you mentioned, should not have been treated rudely and I think that someone in charge at the show should have acted like a gentleman and found someone to at least make a few brief statements. Like it or not there is a lot of mistrust when it comes to the media and they did it to themselves.

There is no excuse for being rude to this young lady. Unfortunately a lot of the media have prooven ,time and time again, to be dishonest, one sided and to spin stories into what they want them to be. I would give the lady the benefit of doubt and assume she would present a balanced story. But there of plenty of reporters out there who would go to a gun show, find the biggest toothless idiot to interview and present that interview as representative of all gun owners. Its really too bad, for people looking for the actual news and for honest reporters.

Cool pics. ....I occasionally hunt a friends land in Hammondsport that boarders Bully Hill Winery. Every buck I have shot down there had groove marks ground into its antlers, from rubbing against the vineyard wires while feeding on the grapes. It's pretty cool. That last buck will be a bruiser next year, if he made it.

Hate to disagree but some people, who want to push their leftist agenda are that ridiculous. I know I have asked this before, but I never got an answer. Is it possible for a person to sign onto this sight under two different user names??? Just wondering.

If all these politicians and liberal antis really cared about reducing gun violence they would be marching in the streets demanding that something be done about urban/inner city gun violence, which accounts for most of the gun violence in the U.S. They would be demanding that existing gun laws be enforced consistently. They would be demanding that people caught committing these violent gun crimes be prosecuted and given long prison sentences. They would demand that repeat offenders and parolees caught committing gun crimes be given even longer sentences. But of course, they ignore the issue (Gee I wonder why??). Instead they support gun bans and restrictions that mostly effect honest citizens and that the criminal scum ignore anyway. This is all done to make themselves feel better and to give the impression that they are doing something about gun violence. Are the criminals going to register their guns?? Will they load their guns with only 7 rounds? (as King Cuomo recently signed into law) Will the Criminals not bring their guns in "gun free zones?" These antis are all cowards..
