You might be right...I may have it wrong, but I'm just basing my opinion on stuff I have heard here. Whatever...............

BULL! I think you speak with a guilty conscience. Today, I think, someone on here mentioned seeing a big buck "in the turnips". I have wandered around the woods a lot and have never come upon a natural field of turnips. You are obviously what can best be described as a "modern hunter...sort of!" Go check your trail cams....you may be missing something!

Are you saying this is not being done? If so, you are off your rocker!

Let's see if I have this right: Those in favor of AR's are the guys who plant a food plot (aka bait pile)...install game cams to see what deer are taking the bait...build a "shoot house" overlooking the plot (bait)...and then selectively "harvest" big rack bucks that will later adorn their "trophy room" walls. When they make such a score, they are quick to explain how that killing was good for the herd; they are practicing "deer management". The guys who are opposed to AR's are fair chase (No hi-tech...No bait) hunters who hope to get a chance at a buck, regardless of size, when hunting in a natural environment. They will kill a legal buck of any size, with no apologies. They will eat the buck, and on rare occasions display an antler mount on the wall of a shed out in back of their house. They make no claims regarding deer management beyond filling their tag...whenever they are lucky enough to do so. So....AR's, or no AR's?? I say leave it up to the hunters (although, in many cases, that term is loosely applied).....Hunter's Choice !!!!

Question here: When one leases hunting rights, does he/she have the authority to charge trespassers? If you lease hunting rights and nothing else, then cannot others enter the property for other reasons? I can see a bazillion ways for any purported "trespasser" to fight you on this. Foremost might be a charge of "baiting" leveled at you. (Side question.....The "bait" wasn't a "food plot" was it?) 'Nother question: Might the perpetrator be entirely innocent? Could have he/she just wandered in and placed a stand, without knowing about your lease. When you lease...can you post?? Lots of questions here guys 'n girls.

Sorry for your bad luck. Even though I dislike the use of trail cams, I would never think of destroying or stealing those I encounter in the field. Private property is private property...plain and simple. Suggestion: Check your homeowner's insurance policy....It is surprising what personal possessions are covered.

A buddy of mine has been having pretty good luck with walleyes using LIVER LEECHES. He buys pork liver at the supermarket and cuts it into leech shapes to fish on various weight jig heads. He tosses the "leeches" in cornmeal and then puts them into a zip lock sandwich bag to take to the stream. The cornmeal makes the leeches less messy to handle and leaves a bit of a chum line when the jig hits the water. Worth giving a try.............

Bubba is right: You file the charge for trespassing. Thereafter, you must prove that they, in fact, were trespassing: They crossed a posted boundary...They were refused permission to be on the premises...They refused to leave when asked to do so. If I were you, I'd start with a certified letter to them (copy to yourself) indicating that they do NOT have permission to be on your property, and that you will file charges if you catch them on your property. Once you are certain they have received the letter...File charges the next time you catch them (photo would be good) on your property. Good Luck, Early

Ahh, dang....You are right: My post could have come off looking like a brag. Certainly was not my intention. My 15"-17" smallies were really not bragging size. Buy it online....The two pound bag will last you a long time.

My recipe is similar, as well. I usually make only a three pound batch: two pounds of venison burger, with one pound of fat beef hamburger. I, too, dislike mustard seeds, so I just substitute ground mustard...works fine. My recipe does not include cayenne....but does include onion powder. Good stuff!
