Only a sick globalist would ever say something so disparaging about his own country and the one he governs to boot. This is what you liberals wanted and voted for? You gotta be insane -

You care about how a POTUS makes you feel. I care about results. Obama made the left feel good while destroying the country with hatred of police and division among citizens. All the while killing jobs, freedom and the Constitution. He spied on US citizens, changed the law so he could kill them and ran guns to Mexican cartels illegally. He worked against business by having banks attack their credit ability and allowed terrorists to expand their power and reach. He illegally attacked conservative non-profits with the IRS. He is a Marxist and a racist that despises America. I don't see how people on the left don't see it, other than they are blinded by the propaganda the TV feeds them every night. They believe what they are told to believe to their own demise. Trump got results. He improved everything in this land. He lifted up every citizen, no matter their race, color or creed. He had the best economy ever until the left killed it with CV-19. He also exposed the corruption in our government and they destroyed him because of it. Again, people on the left don't see it, because they are blinded by the hateful propaganda the TV feeds them every night. They believe what they are told to believe to their own demise. To despise trump is to despise all that is good in America. That is why the left is such a threat to this country. -

Anyone ever put a scope mount base on an 1100 ?
Grouse replied to luberhill's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
The most accurate slug shotguns are rifled barreled single shots or bolt actions, because the barrels are fixed to the receiver, they don't move relative to a scope mounted on them. There are some issues with putting a scope on a semi auto Rem 1100 receiver. The barrel is not fixed to the receiver, so it moves with each shot. Not a lot, but still. The saddle mounts also move a little. When combined with the barrel movement, the saddle mount becomes the least accurate choice for mounting a scope on an 1100. However, it is the easiest option. If you are shooting a smooth bore barrel, the accuracy may be good or bad, depending on how it likes a certain load. Federal Tru-ball slugs seem to be the best choice in smooth bore shotgun barrels. The least expensive and easiest option would be the saddle mount and some range testing to see how much accuracy you can get with various loads. The saddle will prevent being able to use the gun without the scope now, unless the scope is removed. Putting it back on requires testing the accuracy again. Drilling and tapping the receiver on an 1100 doesn't solve the barrel movement issue, and since the receiver is not very thick, the screws holding the mounts tend to loosen easily, even when using Lock-Tite. The screws can also strip the threads very easily since it's not hard steel. It has to be done by a competent individual and will cost some money. It also prevents being able to use the gun without the scope now, unless the scope is removed. Putting it back on also requires testing the accuracy again. A cantilever scope mounted system is the best choice, albeit the most costly one, requiring the purchase of an extra barrel. However it is the most accurate choice, because the scope is fixed to the barrel on the cantilever and stays aligned with the barrel. The barrel also has rifling. Changing the barrel back to the original one is quick and easy, so the gun can still be used as it was. Putting the scoped cantilever rifled barrel back on the 1100 should not affect the accuracy or dial in either, because the scope has not moved in relation to the bore. Any scope mounted on an 1100 will allow for more precise shot placement, but if you want real accuracy, especially at 100 yards or more, you need a rifled cantilever barrel to mount a scope on it. -

According to your link, it passed the Senate, but has not passed in the Assembly yet. -
That's a decoy at his feet.

NY Strikes again

If it passes the assembly, which it will, and is signed by Cuomo, which he will, it won't be legal to do, or even own one. That could be by the end of this month. -

It's a free country. You are free to do whatever they let you do. -
Maybe some hope

No conservative worth their salt would consider becoming the Governor of NY. They are smart enough to see the damage done is already beyond repair, the state is irreversibly bankrupt and with the Democrats in control in DC, it would be impossible to solve anything. Cuomo has accomplished exactly what his policies were designed to do. Don't for one minute think all his COVID-19 policies and consequences weren't intentional. They were all implemented to make sure Trump wasn't re-elected. He's going down now because the scandal has been let out of the bag and Democrats eat their own when it comes to that. -

He finished the rest of the receiver by milling and drilling what was left to be done, then bought the upper, stock, mags, etc and put it together resulting in a complete, functional rifle. Perfectly legal at the time. I'm not sure it's true any mass shooter ever did this though. -

It all depends on how much of the propaganda you swallow and what you believe is best for the country. Personally, I've come to believe people that hate Trump do so because they believe things he did were not good for the country. I think all analytical data proves that to be completely incorrect, but propaganda from the left tells them what he did was not good for the country. It also spews lies about his accomplishments and policies, to instill more hate. One of the primary tactics used by Marxists is destruction of the opposition. I believe it was Lav Beria, head of the Soviet Secret Police who said, "Show me the man and I'll show you the crime", meaning anyone can be demonized and vilified. That's how they gained power. You get the "useful Idiots", as Stalin referred to them, to hate your opposition, and love your minion. That's where Pravda came in. Our main stream media today is doing the same thing. -
The first thing communists do is control the flow of info. It's called propaganda. It's pushing a narrative to control the agenda. It's totalitarian. They may be a private business, but it is still true. The 2nd thing communists do is make the opposition disappear. They are getting there in this land slowly but surely.

Everyone forgets about the girls who are threatened by this. Hopes for college scholarships dashed thanks to the desire not to offend. This is a community college, probably a 2 year school and this trans player is 50 years old. How many of the girls in the league won't be going to a 4 year school now? Want to be a woman? Fine. But why let that person's choice destroy other's dreams? This is a threat to entire families that were playing by the rules, never expecting something like this to ruin their plans. It threatens the very existence of women's sports. It's a threat to the entire society, because laws were passed to take away your right to say no to this.
