  1. I think its because when feeding with corn or something the deer are very concentrated in one single area for example 5x5. But, with a plot they can range from 1/4 an acre to tens of acres, and deer are spread out. So there is less if any chance of disease spreading.
  2. I'm pretty sure this has been in place for quite a while.
  3. Backstrap, I would get a soil test as CNY said to check for what is needed. If you don't want to do that, then ask Biologic what is best for that seed. We went to a local farmers supply and they told us what worked best for our soil test and seed.
  4. Buck, Nice! Spooking 8 bucks must have been a great sight.
  5. With that logic, any "bow" that needs a trigger to shoot should be in the gun season as well. The only bow that needs a trigger is a crossbow. Releases are available for every type of bow.
  6. Sheez, OK, did not know those existed. Can't really see them being to effective.
  7. Perhaps, I guess it depends on your age and how you were introduced to the sport. I was introduced with a compound 16 years ago.
  8. Heya, Just been contemplating over the idea of getting a rangefinder. Anyone have one? Find it useful? I thought it would be great to have to at least help mark some of the tree's on the treestands / blinds. I like the one from Redfield, the Ranger 550. It's new so there are not a lot of reviews, but the ones I found were positive. Plus it seems to be pretty affordable compared to others out there...
  9. Hi Phil, Welcome to the site.
  10. Neil, Call up the DEC and ask then to check for your license, if they dont have it on file call the local regional office and see if they do. Welcome to the site, and have fun this season!
  11. You can edit a post for so many min after you post it, then i believe you cant change it any longer.
  12. I saw it, it was pretty neat.
  13. How did it break? I mean these things are rated at 1000 to 3000 lbs.
