I victory however very small. Now according to this judge restricting bullet numbers is not good, but restricting what guns you can own is. I would not put a lot of faith in this ruling. he picked a vary small part to say was bad just to say something was. But ammo background checks is ok and "assault weapon" bans is ok. Beware of a wolf in sheeps clothing. He only left a very small part open to debate in this ruling. If you are happy that he says carrying 30 in a gun you can not own, look closer. So in the end they say ok keep 10 in your handgun it is ok,. That is no where enough for me.

born, raised and reside in Northern New York. Hunt the daks and St Lawrence river valley farm lands. I grew up in a very strong hunting family. Both parents Aunts uncles cousins and my siblings all either hunt or have hunted. I live about 10 minutes from a state wildlife area where they release pheasants every year. I enjoy a good pheasant hunt more than a deer hunt. A good dog a good friend and a good meal after. I have been an instructor for the sportsman's education program for over 25 years. I like to think that the number of people I have help launch into hunting means more than my personal accomplishments as a hunter. Giving back means more to me than taking away.

strange and scariest things while hunting or fishing NY
bubba replied to noodle one's topic in General Chit Chat
She had been there before since she made the statement she knew there were a lot of beds there. So she was someone either myself or my cousin had there before. After a while, I thought that I may have known who she was. Of course years later, when I saw the lady she denied it. All I know was at that time, I was not thinking of that even at 20. The camp was about 25 minutes from college, so I may have been there too often and have away the location. -
strange and scariest things while hunting or fishing NY

True story. when I was about 20, I was in college and poor. As I have mentioned we had a camp back off the road in the big woods I finished classes at noon on Tuesday for Thanksgiving week, and was off until Monday. A buddy of mine and I left for camp. We took his truck and planned to stay until Sunday dark. Kind of a last big hunt for the year. Anyway Thursday night, he starts missing his girlfriend, or wanted left over turkey. I am not sure which. He decided he is going home. I rode with him, so either I stayed alone with no vehicle or went home. I chose to stay. He left and I settled in for the night. My family was coming on Friday, after the Thanksgiving festivities, so I was not stranded. About 3AM, I wake up to headlights and voices in the yard. the door was locked from the inside and they broke in. It was a couple looking for a place to ummm rendezvous. It scared the crap out of me. They came in from the porch and into the main camp. The camp was one large room with beds on one end and a curtain dividing it. I had my 742 30-06 with me so I stuck the clip in it. When I made my presence known, they took off. They backed into a tree across the yard and tore a bunch of paint off the jeep they had. The nerve wracking part was the rest of the night. The camp was a half mile off the road on a one way path and the closest town was over 3 miles away. I did not know if they would return with friends or what. Of course you think the worst. I sat up the rest of the night in the dark expecting them to return. They did not. At day break I walked to town called my family and the sheriff who came and investigated. After that regardless of who was going, I always drove myself. -
Funny one guy gets lucky and gets defended the next do essentailly the same thing and get hammered. double standard? People who do not hunt view both videos exactly the same.

Hunter Education Home Study Course- No classes available?
bubba replied to Newbie's topic in General Hunting
Just saying that do not be surprised if they make you take the class even after completing the online class. You have to enroll in a home study class to qualify. I do not let students come in and just test as I am not sure who actually took the online stuff to get the papers. Not saying to did that , but I have had some complete the online class and not be able to answer a question in class. Not many do home study. You may get stuck taking a complete class. But you will have a leg up on others -

Hunter Education Home Study Course- No classes available?
bubba replied to Newbie's topic in General Hunting
You will find classes late march through April. It is not that easy just to show up and take a test. You have to register in a home study class and the instructor has the choice to accept you or not with the online or make you do the course. I personally make them take the home study course Sent from my LGL35G using Tapatalk 2 -
ok so how often are you shooting straight down from a stand? seems more like an angle to me unless the deer is directly under the stand, there is going to be an angle the bullet hits the ground. ahh why bother have a great new year.
-
by the time it hits the ground it is pretty much spent.

Was Santa in a hunting mood?

I got a sign for campo that says Man cave Big racks and tall tales gander gift cards. -
umm if you read all of my signature, I am following it. If you ask everyone is going to tell you including me. I do not intend to answer any questions since if you look back about 6 or so posts, I asked you some that were never answered. I do not respond well to interrogation especially when it has absolutely nothing to do with the topic. If you believe shooting 4 deer in 9 seconds, or one every 2 seconds the shooter was taking time to aim and putting out good safe shots, me nor anyone who has any common sense can convince you otherwise. Now stop taking yourself and everything on here so seriously unpucker your rectum and enjoy life a bit ok. Also if you believe shooting downward at the ground where hard things like rocks exist there is less chance of a ricochet, I am scared about your engineering skills. A pancaked bullet hitting a rock will ricochet. A bullet traveling on a level plane with the animal has nothing much to ricochet off.
-
how does driving a train make you an expert. Have a great day.
-
never said it was wrong I said it was more likely to ricochet. Look it up it is fact
-
And if Germany had won WWII you would not be able to sit behind a screen and tell others what they should think. Just saying
-
snap shooting which he was doing is so far from safe it is not even measurable.
-
ok bullets being shot tioward the ground are more likely to ricochet than shot at a deer on the same plane. he was aiming moving and shooting. about as unsafe as possible. no follow up on shot just shoot again and again look for carnage later. i do not hunt from a stand.

I cant wny says it is not relevent

I wondered how long it would take for you to get personal and attack. Longer than usual
