So what if "Dad" decides to do this three or four more times this year? How much is too much? Look at this the other way. Know what I find funny. Guys take all the time to do all they can to be scent free then hop on a gas operated machine with gas and exhaust smells and park it 200 yards form where they plan to hunt. I wonder how many deer walk toward you and get near the 4 wheeler smell it or see it and turn away. The old guy we used to hunt with always said if you can not walk there, do not go there. I bought the axis in 7-08. Came with the bushnell; scope for 225 out the door. I took the bushnell off and replaced it with a Nikon buckmasters 3x9x40. Trigger was a bit stiff as it does not have the accutrigger I adjusted the spring down myself to 3 pound pull and crisp. I load for myself with 140 grain remington corelokt and 41 grains of Varget it will do about 1.5 at 150. That is the furthest I have shot it. Action is smooth and I an very happy with it so far. I would recommend one to anyone. Trigger adjustment is simple took me 5 minutes.
