I just used a regular sling...I honestly didn't find carrying a crossbow all that cumbersome

First attempt at Osso Bucco. Came out nicely.
I want to eventually try this with venison instead of beef one day. Will need a creative way to but through the shank bone if I want to do so. Maybe next year.

deer bones are pretty thin....a hacksaw would work just fine.

Quality, not quantity.

yep....most places give portions of mediocre food that's enough calories for 2-3 people.......

Yup!I have no real info to back up my thoughts as to why the squirrels tail is short/cut off.It is possible they loose the tip to allow for new growth.
hmmm, new, longer growth you say?............. that gives me an idea.

His wife/girlfriend chewed/bit it off for not chatting her up.I think this is common for a squirrel to lose the tip of the tail allows for new growth much like antlers on a Deer.
what?! so I should pass on the 4" tail this year because it may be 6" next year??

Okay, I'm willing to ship, but I'd have to charge $10 more, for a total of $160. I have no idea what it would cost to ship it.
I shipped out two this past year.....right around $20 (little less) via UPS

I've got an electric smoker and for the three times it worked it was awesome. Then it broke and after much googling I found out it can't be repaired. I bought an element at cabelas and put it in but can't keep it below 300, it's made for a bigger smoker.
I need to find a way to regulate it but it's pretty complicated from
what I've read and I'm no electrician
electric hotplate?

if you have a local sporting goods store, stop in and ask for a box.....my local Bow shop was more than happy to give me a few.

seems to be a lot of treestand failure stories this year......never leave a stand out year round if you don't have to, and I really can't find a reason you would...especially hang on stands and climbing sticks.
-
the sad reality is that many people will feel it's your obligation to take care of them / help them out......you'll probably have more enemies then friends if you won this kind of money.

what?.........David Bowie was at the Alamo???

Thanks all. I guess the part im still lost on is what you attach your harness to when you get to the top? and how would you get down if you were hanging there.
there is a strap that secures around the tree that is separate from the body harness.....when you get to the top, you take the tether that's on the harness and hook it onto the strap that's around the tree. How do you get down?.....good question. The tether is a 3' or so line that hangs off the back of the harness and attaches to the strap that is around the tree.

don't the annual payments stop once the winner dies? I'd definitely opt for the one time payout..........I would take care of immediate family and disappear the best I could, as far as feeling the need to give a fortune to charity?? not to sure, think most of the wealthy do it for tax reasons, not because they really want to.

ok, back to the original question............I'm fairly confident I've killed the biggest buck I ever will, this is based on hunting the same areas for 30+ years, and family hunting that same area for years prior. I shot the biggest buck that was ever taken by any of us in that area about 10 years ago and nobody has come close with another. I still hunt he same way I did the day before I shot him.........
-
I just shoot the smaller ones...that way I know there's bigger out there if needed.

. You can see whatever you want to see. I am telling you what it is supposed to be. I also never said it would be up and running. I also never said everyone would be suspended if the state does not have it going. Again I simply stated what the law says. After that you can let your imagination run wild.
yup....

I also recall something saying if you fail to renew it's considered revoked and all those lovely new laws will apply to you.......I don't have a pistol license so am not up on that part, but might be something a license holder should keep up on.

how is the one guy in color and all the rest black and white? cool pic, I have a few old time ones like that.
-
I had them shipped to my house on L.I. they keep fine in a cool dark place just fine for about a week as long as you don't let them dry out............and those white pine grow fast and are pretty hearty.

I've had opportunity to shoot deer like that.....the goal was to kill deer, not hunt. I have no problem doing both and even less problem making the separation.
