  1. Maybe there is a bowtech forum. Is so you may be able to get a cam quickly from someone on the forum. I have an Elite and there are always parts hitting the Elite forum classifieds.
  2. Fins and Feathers mounted my 9 pointer. I didn't know they also butcher. I'll go there. Thanks for the info.
  3. I'm being optimistic and planning ahead. If I get a deer bowhunting out east, I would like to haul it right off to the butcher shop as I no longer want to butcher my own. I live in Oyster Bay so I would want the butcher to be near the LIE. Any recommendations on a butcher for my deer?
  4. Drink alot of APPLE juice and pee away. I hope that's not considered "baiting"
  5. Wow that buck would get me pumped for the season. I would be out on my stand until I bagged him.
  6. I like that mini-30 alot. Ruger makes a great gun. Go with the small clip and you should be fine.
  7. I have an Elite Z28. It's a very smooth bow. It makes it a real pleasure to shoot. There is an Elite forum for all the info you could ever need. Just go to the Elite website and you see the forum link.
  8. Welcome. Nice to see another hunter from Long Island on the forum.
  9. Great pics. What a cool and interesting hobby. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Last year I joined a hunting club on Long Island called Birds Unlimited. They have 2 hunting fields just off the LIE at exit 69 in Manorville. It's a nice group of guys, dedicated to the enjoyment of dog training and upland bird hunting. There is a clubhouse and some great property for pheasant hunting. My german shorthaired pointer, Wyatt and I hunted there almost every weekend in the fall and winter. Good guys and good times. I just received a call from the club president that this year they have invested a lot of time and money into habitat improvement. If anyone is interested in bird hunting, I would suggest giving it a try. It works out to be less money than drive upstate or to PA to hunt pheasant preserves. Here is a link to the club. Happy Hunting everyone! www.birdsunlimited.net
  11. My Elite is set with 3 pins- 20,40, and 60. Anything that is 25 yds or less gets the 20 pin. I find that 50 yds is smack in the middle of the 40/60 pins. Just practice at 30 yds so you know where to put your pins. It will probably be midway between the 20 and 40 pins.
  12. Sounds like a good place for a trail cam
  13. I was thinking the same thing. Real quality pics.
  14. One thing for sure with that story, there's a lot missing from it. Not the best reporting job.
  15. ChiefBkt- I sent you a PM. I can ship it, if you are interested.
  16. I would have to look into shipping through an FFL. I would have to add it to the price, about $40.
  17. Okay this deal is getting even better. I am dropping the price to an even $1,000.
  18. I know. I figure the package as it is would be worth about $1600
  19. Price drop. $1100 for a Weatherby rifle with a Nikon scope.
  20. Weathery MarK V in excellent condition. Only 5 rounds fired, never hunted. This rifle was made in Japan. The Nikon scope is 4-12x50. Includes case and sling. There is no rust, pitting, or scratches on the rifle. The scope has some marks by the scope ring. A great rifle for serious Big Game hunters. $1200. I prefer to sell in person. I'm willing to deliver within 100 miles.
  21. I would join that club in a heartbeat if it were. Near me. On long island they are rare and expensive. I joined an archery club that was a real good deal but gun clubs aren't possible. It's great to meet other outdoorsman
