NYC taxis don't run 24/7? they are yellow money making machines....they never tun them off, just swamp out middle eastern drivers

It sounds like you got an Toyota / chevy truck from the 90's. they had issue with the steel they were using just a suggestion. after you power wash the underside of your truck, get some used oil and old paint brush and brush oil on the frame and brake lines. I did this on my old suburan once or twice a year. messy job, but it protects the brake lines/frame a bit

I’ve been reading this post for a while and understand that everyone wants a better deer herd and greater number/size of bucks. I just want to share an idea that I don’t think was brought up in this post, if it was I missed it. My one word solution to better NYS hunting is LOGGING. Log all the NY State lands. Do it responsibly, but do it. If you get new growth (grasses, shrubs)on state lands, you’ll see deer populations increase vastly. You'll also see grouse again, more turkeys and other shootable critters Deer can’t eat what they can’t reach. Grasses don’t grow if the sun doesn’t get thru a mature canopy. Just a thought

I need both equally. I get up at 4:30am each day. On train by 5:30am and get home at 8pm each night. I'm getting tired of those that don't work or only work part time jobs for 20 years I work more than half my day to support government employees and socialite parasites (pay over 55% a year of my income in taxes). I could do without either of them. In 5 years I will be free..I hope the cop cars last this long. I'm moving south to a right to work paradise absents of PSU and freeloaders

just found this on the web...not confirmed, but working in NYC its seems accurate. According to the Taxicab Factbook, the average NYC taxi drives 70,000 miles per year. The average age of a NYC taxi is 3.3 years. If we assume that a taxi will likely last about 6 years, then you're looking at a 400-500K miles If a NYC taxi can last 500,000 miles, so can NYS police car.

You’re kidding..right? My Camery has over 270,000 miles on it. It’s a 2001. The car is still running fine and I have no need to replace it. It got its first tune up at 200,000 miles and is on its second battery…still has its original; shocks/struts, exhust, ect...passes inspection each year This car gets absolutely NO regular maintenance and was drive on NYS roads it’s whole life. I suspect the NYS police drive their cars harder then most, but they should be able to get more than 200K out of each car (assume no accidents)

I have access to about 10 to 15 private properties in Westchester / Putnam / Dutchess/ Rockland. Also a few in CT. some are 1 to 2 ac, most are 5 to 20 ac. Most years I don't hunt them, but I do check and make sure i still have permission. these properties are owned by family, friends, co-workers, a car sales guy that sold me my truck, farmers and even my dentist. as for state land / NYC land. NYC has at least 10 within 1 to 2 hr drive, their is lots of state land. also local towns often own land that is huntable. There is a co-op complex in Putnam that has 25 ac's of woods that back up to a nature perserve in putnam...not tell you where this one is...lots of big boys in there. lots of horse farms down here, apple orchards and rich people with a few ac's of land. You just need to ask. but ask now. ask when your doctors, dentist, bagel shop, car dealer, ask the guy on the train, ask teh guy at home depot...ASK!...always ask...have your wife ask for you.

horsepond is 1000 ac. on open days NYC try to limit it to less then 150 hunters. these lands get lots of pressure. however they are surrounded by Fawnstock state park and lots of large private tracks of land. hunting NYC land is like being in the middle of a pumpkin patch. if its brown its down on these lands for most...you need to be selective if you want a big deer. but if you want something to eat that ok as well. but most hunters are lazy and won't walk the extra miles or check out the thickest swamps in the end hunting is all about ACESS to land...nothing else. I hunt as many properties that I can each year. most years I check out 20 to 30 different piece of land. when you stumble upon a large bucks area you know it. If I get lucky and find such an area, I usually have a few hours or day at best to tag him...if I don't get the buck right away, he figures out i'm there and disappears. I try to get him in the AM as he's traveling to check does or mid morning when he's sitting on a small rise in the middle of the thicket swamp I can find lastly there are abundant 8pts all over the place. they are just smart deer. hunters need to put in the days and hunt where the deer are (hence multiple properties).

1 was taken on the NYC land off of Horsepond...no AR there 2 were taken off the NYC property off rt 301. One the year before they went to AR, the other the year they went to AR. now that property is over run with spikes and fork horns. all the 8 point genes have been taken out...the only breeding bucks left are rang horns...the property is not as good as it was 10 years ago...it used to be a big buck paradise..now its a fork horn oasis

there is a thread called ' Your Biggest NY Buck you'll find three 3N of my bucks in there....but I was wrong. I didn't post 3 8 points. there are 2 eight points and a 7 point posted here. all were taken on NYC property. One was Horse pond RD the other two next to the buddist temple on 301

I've posted three 8 pts taken in 3N to this site

it VERY easy to get a large buck in 3N. I've gotten many 8pts on state/city land in 3N. you just need to know what your doing and put the days in. If you can't get a buck in 3n in a week somethings wrong. I hit at least 10 private properties and 10 to 15 pieces of state land each year. some times I'll spend just a few hours and leave if no sign, sometimes a few days hunting the same place. you need to have options. you can't expect to get a deer if you don't find the land the deer are on. IT ACCESS...nothing else. get ACCESS to good land and you got your deer AR = lazy hunters

Petfinder is a great site. I've gotten two dogs from them. Pure bred Cocker Spaniels. they weren't hunting dogs by any means, just good house dogs if you want a certain breed, just go to google and type in 'breed name' rescue...example 'brittany rescue'..you'll find a bunch of potential dogs.

15 good luck all!

its rather simply to replace and extend...watch a youtube video and you could do it yourself, or ask some of neighbors who they use as a handyman. or go/call to N&S plumbling (plumbing supply house) in Carmel and they can give you some names

you didn't answer my question either...... Why does it matter if the person is non-white? Don't you think whites could find it inappropriate? Or is your white guilt / Self-perceived white privilege blinding you? -

it's not uncommon for a loosing side to have their flag flow by the victors! I believe some of the battle fields from the revolutionary war fly British flags on the graves of fallen British soldiers. In fact, I think Ticonderoga has or had British graves with British flags. There were also German spys (Nazi’s) executed during WWII that have Germany flags flying over their graves, I believe these Germans are buried outside of Washington DC. The rebel battle flag in SC was being flown at a war monument. -

Folks have the right to display what they want or allow the displaying of what they want on their site. Others don’t have to like it, but we should accept it as their right. -
Unethical, I actually did something similar myself many decades ago when i was about 18. I shot a doe and the fawn I didn't see standing behind the doe with 1 shot from a 12 ga. Doe dropped, fawn ran and had to be tracked. recovered both deer. but I never rushed a shot again after that.

How Canada sees America
mmkay replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Canada is fine nation and good ally to the USA, they have supplied / lost troops in war against terror. but you are right a girl scout troop and few dozen paralegals could take over that place in weeks. Canadians blindly follow any rule that is written -

I believe Canadian personal income tax brackets max out at 29% federal. US personal income tax brackets reach about 33%. As for corporate taxes Canada is 26 percent today. The U.S. currently has a corporate tax rate of 39 percent. Hence canada has lower taxes compared to the US also much smarter immigration policy -
