  1. It sucks for my bank account, but I am having fun!
  2. I can weigh it. Its not real light due to barrel profile (which also results in great accuracy)- probably around 8lbs. Lets just say that the toy will let me see those yotes better at night.
  3. Amaz-n pellet smoker tray. Costs $30. Adds no heat but plenty of smoke. Can cold smoke with it or toss it in your current smoker on whatever temp you like. They work awesome.
  4. I wouldn’t worry if Poi is the same. Untwist the string a few times and it might straighten it out.
  5. Nock left suggest weak arrow for rt handed shooter. But it could be a false reading. Do you hear it hitting strike plate? Doubt it’s the tape. You really need to stretch to 25 to see bareshafts reaction. 15 is close unless it’s really out of whack.
  6. As accurate if not more accurate than any rifle I own. Shot both lighter and heavier grain bullets well too. Nice combo for predators and deer.
  7. Purchased new last year. It’s a tack driver. Accustock, accutrigger, 24” fluted barrel. Includes extra magazine. It’s topped with a leupold VX2 3-9x50 with LR duplex reticle. And has leupold rings/bases. I have my eye on another toy. new the prices werre as follows: savage model 10 - $750 leupold - $400 extra mag - $45 rings and bases - don’t recall will sell whole package for $925 and will give a great deal on plenty of ammo if buyer likes.
  8. They are smart as I am learning and sometimes you just can’t convince them. Had a group howling last night that wouldn’t come in and another that showed at a different set far out. Was hoping he would commit and come in but he just kept heading in the wrong direction. Swing and a miss at 270ish.
  9. Man I wish I knew how to photoshop. Happy BDay buddy!
  10. That’s a good looking bow Dan. And I like the specs! Get it bloody this fall!
  11. Lol. What’s a little oozing puss among friends.
  12. If you believe nothing else, trust me when I tell you that “antlers DONT drive me to do most everything I do.” That would be a sad sad life for sure.
  13. Looks great Jason. Congrats on a dandy. Not bad taxi work either. Who is your taxi?
  14. Oh I agree that big antlers are what the commercial whitetail hunting industry caters too. And I agree that it’s a motivating factor for many when it comes to hunting, including me. I would not sit in crap weather or do so much preseason work if I was only shooting does. But I would still hunt. So it’s not THE DRIVING FORCE, but it is a driving force among others for me any many others I suspect. I will grant you that FSW. You just seem to fail to acknowledge that there are other driving forces. So be it.
  15. Nobody said moog doesn’t care .... moog said he likes targeting bigger bucks but it’s not what drives him to hunt. If it was, He would have quit at that point but he didn’t. I know it’s a fact because moog told me. Lol i quit! You refuse to understand. And I don’t like speaking about myself in the third person.
  16. Ask yourself, why did moog continue to hunt after opening day in either bow or gun season since he was tagged out on bucks - antlers couldn't have been the driving force ..... hmmm ..... maybe there was some other reason - lol Maybe your "Fact" is not a fact all. I know, I know, you just can't comprehend. Perhaps your view of the hunting world is tainted by your self interest in growing big racks. Hard to remain objective when one is self interested. Regardless - you shot some very nice bucks this season. Congrats on fulfilling your only reason for being out there. Now try playing nice with others and considering their point of view - you may just find you learn something new if you keep an open mind.
  17. well I did qualify it .... "reasonable intelligence" - which I actually think you have FSW but are choosing not to employ here. Total context is important to understanding anything. Picking and choosing selectively gives false results.
  18. Not getting sucked in to your lunacy FSW. If the point you are trying to make is that most people would prefer to kill a big buck vs a small buck, I agree. If the point you are trying to make is that killing a big buck is the reason people hunt, I disagree - indeed my many days of sitting in a stand when I knew I couldn't do so puts my money where my mouth is. My stance is clear to anyone with reasonable intelligence. Leaving it at that!
  19. You already know that I wouldn't. I have said I prefer trying to target bigger bucks - so long as I don't loose sight of why I hunt. The open season buck happened to be the specific buck I was targeting on that hunt - doesn't work that way often. I also shot two does and was with others who shot does. I like hunting no matter what. Do I want to shoot bigger bucks, sure I do. Is it the reason I hunt, nope. I enjoy being out there. You know how many times in bow I hunted after killing my buck and a doe with no intent to kill anything? Or how many days in gun season I sat knowing I wouldn't pull the trigger? Quite a few. Like you, I hunt areas where killing does is not all that hard but I left tags unfilled this year by choice. Yet I still was out there. Big bucks are NOT the only driving force for me. There is more to it than that for me - perhaps not for you.
  20. Oddly, this happened to me this year and I still hunted, but took it much less serious - slept in more, hunted more with others including my daughter.
  21. Now that I know they travel 300 miles, I will hold off next year Biz. All yours!
