You might be right Bob. My point is that we don’t have the necessary info to even assess the considerations and resulting actions from a business perspective which is what is driving the decisions. Not sure refusing to support a gun vendor, even one that doesn’t sell ARs or to individuals under 21, helps gun rights either. Tough one all the way around.

The more I think about this, the more I realize that I don’t have enough info to assess whether Dicks did what was right FOR THEIR BUSINESS. I know they don’t want to lose business from anyone that could view their actions as irresponsible or leading to more potential mass shootings. What percentage of profits come from gun sales? What would happen if a customer bought a gun there and went on a killing spree? Those answers play a much greater role in this business decision for Dicks than whether they support AR rights. Might not like it, but I get it. I bet they sell way more sneakers to soccer moms.

Was looking for a specific ammo and found it at a number of online places. But only Buds would ship to NY. Appreciate a list of any ammo suppliers you know that ship to ny (where legal like upstate). I was surprised midway would t ship to webster.

I never really had much interest in one until I really started looking at one for hunting. Besides the fact that they are fun to build with so many options, if you want a reliable and accurate semi, ARs can't be beat. Easy to find/build one that will shoot sub moa and feed reliably. Not the case with most other semi platforms. That said, I am still waiting for arrival so perhaps I am expecting more than I should. My opinion is based solely on my research.

Having just gone through this and been educated: 2 options for compliant ARs (1) detachable mag and no features (collapsible stock, pistol grip, fire suppressor, and some others that I am forgetting but not as significant) or (2) pin the mag and have whatever you want for features. Mag limited to 10 rds and must have a limiter (block in mag) when hunting. Yes people buy compliant ARs and yes I bet some were sold by Dicks. But I think the bigger issue is why support a store that is caving to the anti-gun crowd if you are a 2d amendment supporter. Oh and I think what was hinted at is that it pretty easy to buy one without the features and add them after the purchase if one was so inclined. In the end, I decided to pin the mag as I see no need for a 30rd mag on a hunting gun.

I am all for less gov intervention, period! But teenagers eating tide pods makes me question the wisdom of my own position.

If you get really good at juggling, you will not need any bags at all to carry your food when grocery shopping! Gets tougher around Thanksgiving with turkeys and all.
