Sorry just saw your post. Which CBE do you have? Bought the enkore and may have also accidentally bought a Kure because it was a good deal but I may sell that one as it seems excessive. Not too much difference between those bows.

What’s your preference tomorrow? Last year I covered ground by hunting a field with a plot. My friend whom I sat with had two shots on nice bucks but didn’t connect. This year I am not mentoring a new hunter and didn’t plant a plot so planning to sit a stand with decent deer activity in heavy cover that I consider a likely escape route. New gun stand so at least it will be interesting.

I have not seen a shooter on cam in 2 weeks. Looking forward to hunting tomorrow but very low expectations.

Just bought a 2021 elite enkore used. I tend to be a tuning fanatic, doing everything needed to shoot a bareshaft arrow perfect with fletched and broadhead to 30yds. Often that means days of patient adjustments, shimming, limb swaps, etc. this new system by Elite is amazing. Started with a right tear and had it shooting bareshafts perfect to 20yds in minutes. Adjust SET 2x, adjust rest, adjust sight. Done. And I am still playing with perfect DL and let off but 1/4” adjustments takes less than a minute. No press needed for anything except to install peep. No twisting and untwisting cables. It’s a truly unique, ingenious system. Kudos to elite. by the way, the bow is fast, quiet and vibe free

Mine is a pulsar helion xp50. Purchased for yote hunting. I would not spend the money just to help with deer recovery.

Cant speak to the single shots, but my henry lever 30-30 is very accurate with all ammo and has a decent trigger. Plus the wood is top notch. I think it was a steal for the $700 or so I paid for it.

I been fortunate to have some decent success on bucks in my short hunting career but 80% of them were in bow season. I see very few shooters in gun and frankly don't find a gun kill near as exciting. Part of that may be that I started hunting with a bow first. I suspect many of the long time hunters started with a gun and prefer it still.

The thermal does work but I don’t like relying on it as it means we lost blood. Saved us one deer last year when we were just about to call it. And that deer was shot 14hours earlier. As you know it’s doesn’t see through objects so it fairs better in more open areas. Golden rod or thickets are tough. But it’s a nice tool to have.
