  1. Cool. You will get her dialed in I am sure.
  2. TC Dimension with 2 barrels, 22-250 and 7mm-08. I actually really like how it feels. But I already have a 7mm-08 so it may up in the for sale section - or not. Lol. Cool gun.
  3. It’s a Howa 6.5 creedmoor precision bolt action rifle with Nikka 4-16x44 scope. Supposed to be very accurate. Look forward to shooting it.
  4. Our kids started online classes Senior and 5th grader. They have received and completed assignments. They will adjust.
  5. The return on investment in the QDMA banquet has been great. In addition to supporting a worthy cause and a great time, 3 guns in two years and a cooler plus some auction items have been wonderful. this years haul:
  6. Not home by choice and this is far from normal. But yep Bill, I suspect most of us will be stuck at home for a while.
  7. But the home office is now ready. Doubles as my hunting room but it’s quiet and will do. Grabbed a laptop and second monitor when I left my office today. First time having a euro mount in my “office.” We do what we must. With courts closed, and a directive to cease discovery, I am catching up on CLEs and answering questions from employers on how to deal with the new restrictions. Oh and still monitoring the very important HuntingNY forum.
  8. Check out AR 15 Performance. I want to try one of their midweight barrels in 6.8.
  9. NY just went to 100% of all non-essential (specifically defined) employees to remain home.
  10. Guaranteed to shoot the eye of a gnat at 1000yds. Which means I should be good on the broad side of a barn at that distance. Actually, the guy that won it last year said it’s very very accurate and he loves it.
  11. Howa 1500 precision in 6.5 creedmoor and a TC Dimension with 22-250 and 7mm-08 barrels.
  12. I did not recommend it. I simply noted that it falls in the same category as the 458 and 450 In terms of range and ballistics for deer hunting. As i said, it doesn’t interest me. It was really developed for use in an SBR or to shoot both suppressed and not suppressed from the same rifle
  13. Exactly. A self fulfilling prophecy. And even when you recognize it, it’s hard to resist. If I saw a big pack of TP on the shelves, I would probably buy it now since there is none in the stores. I don’t need any guns or ammo but it sure would be nice to be able to pick up the rifles I won if my background check ever goes through.
  14. 300 bo is one of the few AR calibers that has not interested me. But it is readily available in the AR15 platform.
  15. Works well with a short barrel too. Very little loss in velocity.
  16. 458 socom for shotgun type ranges, most ny hunting 6.8 and long distance shooting (500 plus) Grendel. 300 blackout and 450 bushmaster fit in there with the 458.
  17. Creedmoor is an AR10. Between Grendel and 6.8, depends on intended use. Inside 300yds, 6.8 has more energy but Grendel wins at longer distances. I chose 6.8 for the type of shots I will have on deer. Also have a creedmoor but if it’s an AR15 lower, that’s not an option.

    Ammo

Or buy enough different calibers that a few hundred rounds each will do.
  19. He warned me that I wouldn't leave with the rifles because the system was down but that he would call when cleared. This weekend would be nice. No rush for me anyhow. I plan to raid Nomad's well stocked basement if needed.
  20. try to pic up your 325 wsm? I did the same and left empty handed. But at least Jim was a nice guy.
