Corona Virus Thread

Not sure Biz. Our bankruptcy, labor and employment and higher ed groups are cranking right now. Commercial litigation is slow with courts closed and many clients focused on COVID issues, as are business and property. Personally I hope this resolves really soon. -

Just had some 22 nosler delivered today -
Well obviously Jeremy you just aren't cultured like Biz. Did you sip champagne and snack on cucumber sandwiches while watching the movie? Important to fully immerse.

Dark waters was good

Did his other recommendation feature his new found friend? And worse, did you then rent it?
-
I loved the lathe in shop class. It’s cool to shape something.
-
That would be much higher than normal to rent on amazon but typical to purchase. And often newer movies are only available for purchase for a few weeks and then you can rent for 5.99 or less.
-
On amazon you can buy it for $20 which is pretty typical of newer movies. Normally rentals are 5.99 or less. Still way cheaper than bringing a family of 4 to the movies.
-
Looking good though.

When they restart, please let me know if you have a single day class. I will drive up with Natalie!

First time ever I asked a girl in a cat hat to spot me! Desperate times indeed! Not intended to diminish the seriousness of this situation, just a little levity.

Top that off with all who need new licenses before 2021 if they want to use it as a valid form of ID for plane travel. I am due this year too.
-
Like a fixed power scope with a lit up reticle.
-
Red dots are for fast acquisition in either short range hunting or tactical situations. Scopes are way better for any longer range situation.
-
Hard to beat the Vortex hog hunter for that. Other than being a large 56mm scope, there is no downside to it. You still have the option to turn on the red dot in the middle and it will not cover your target.
-
Nothing wrong with a red dot but just make sure you do your research. Many are 3 moa up to 8 moa meaning they will cover a 3-8” circle at 100yds. I would want smallest moa red dot I could find and would buy a scope if shooting beyond 100. strikefire 2 is 4 moa. That will cover a bit more than an 8” circle at 200yds. Don’t expect tight groups at range. Maybe hitting a gong it will work but not for measured target shooting.
-
I don’t know anything about magnifiers but wouldn’t that result in the dot covering your target at longer distances. Assuming a 3moa dot, you would cover a 6” spot at 200 without the magnifier. Maybe the magnifier doesn’t magnify the dot? No idea just seems like a red dot is inconsistent with any type of long distance shooting.

Praying for a quick and complete recovery jjb. Hang in there. -
This is true as sad as that sounds

On my way. Been a while since I sported a Mohawk but no client meetings to cause concern.

Little range time for ryan

Heck yea Ryan. Good shooting. I was out there myself today. Nice day for it. -
So what do they weigh full grown and how does the beef compare to beef cattle?
-
I am ahead at this point but much like a casino, the longer I play the more likely I will be on the negative. That said, it’s a fun night whether we win or not.

I tend to agree with Nomad. Luck is huge as is entering the games that cost more but have better odds. I never win anything in the general raffle. Just too many tickets in those buckets. I prefer to take a shot at the games that cost a bit more but have better odds. The Howa was a 1 in 12 shot at winning at a cost of $200 (you did win a knife for the entry cost). The dimension started with a 1 in 52 shot at winning at a cost of $10 and if you won a cooler, you then had a 1 in 4 shot at the gun. Gun board is 1 in 50 every drawing for $20. This year I think I spent about $400 at the banquet for both Natalie and me, excluding live auction items. That included dinner, general raffle tickets and the other games. I will add, you can get some great deals on higher priced items in the live auction if you are in the market for the item. it helps to have your very lucky daughter pick everything for you. Lol
