  1. It was rigged! First the election and now this!!!!! What is this world coming to???
  2. Yeah im more than likely going to have her fixed at a year and a half. I don't think I have the time to do the whole raising a puppy
  3. Plant a variety of them. They have wild pears that need little maintenance, but its hard to beat apples. You can get apples that drop from September all the way to december. It takes a while to establish it, but once established, it lasts for decades.
  4. From what I see, it can be one of the best IF you do your homework. If you can do a lot of scouting and really narrow it down, I say early season can be amazing (if not better than the rut for targeting a specific deer). But if you don't have the time to do that, I say take vacation during the rut
  5. She’s good. Working on potty training and sitting. She catches on very quickly thankfully. Should have sit down very soon and I can work on kennel training Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. They're the same thing. I use it and have zero problems with it
  7. Originally I was going to name her hazel, but my parents convinced me to name her Nala (like from lion king) Its actually a small munsterlander. Very similar to GSP's
  8. Im ready for another day of trout making me feel dumb! Im always game for the DE
  9. Appreciate it! Maybe we'll go on a few hunts together with her next season
  10. Well picked her up Saturday morning. He told me she's going to be a big girl, so I'm thinking she'll be around 50 pounds
  11. Good times! Hopefully one day we can do it again
  12. I got the pfizer vaccine wednesday afternoon. I didnt have any side effects what so ever.
  13. I use permatex anti-seize grease
  14. Honestly people just sit now. It feels like not many people do drives anymore. My group was one of the only people doing drives on the days we hunted. Most others just sat. Probably why we'd come back with 4+ deer and theyd maybe come back with 1. The first week, the deer are usually still moving fairly free and not running full speed on drives. After that, they hold tighter and really get to moving when spooked
  15. If you come down, we can target eider for sure! Never did it before though
  16. They are, Ive had them before. And yes this is south shore Long Island
  17. Decided to sleep instead of wait up for new years so I can go out to a new spot I scouted last week. Got there on time decoys put out and set up about 30 min before shooting light. The bottom of the pond was kind of sticky and the pond was starting to get pretty iced over, but I saw birds there when I scouted so I was optimistic. about 10 min before shooting time, I was thinking it could be any minute I see or hear a duck. Maybe 5 seconds after I hear a quack and hear them landing. They were maybe 10 yards to the left of my decoys, but I didnt shoot. Not going to risk getting in trouble for a couple ducks, so I watched all 10 fly away after they figured it out. Just at shooting time I see a couple ducks start coming in to land to my left. I gave a couple quacks and the turned and came in. I took the first shot I had when they came over head. First shot folded the first bird, but I missed the other duck. Looked like the other was a mallard drake but I really dont know. The one I got was a Black duck drake, so maybe I was just seeing things. A little bit later I saw a couple ducks coming right in to my decoys from down the marsh and they landed perfectly in my decoys. Now I pulled up to shoot before they landed, my gun didnt fire. I must have flicked the magazine shut off, and I guess that stops me from shooting becuase all I heard was a click. The good thing was I never got up so I was still very hidden in the grass, and I was able to rack a new shell and take the shot. So By 6:50 I had my black duck limit for the day. I stayed till 8, but only had black ducks come in and no mallards. I have horrible luck with mallards for some odd reason, but I cant complain with the two ducks I got. All in all I must have seen about 20-30 black ducks for the morning. Considering going tomorrow too, but Im not sure just yet. My waterfowl goal next year is to get finally get a mallard.
