  1. OK guys a little late on this but I got 2 deer to enter for team 1. A 6 point buck and a Doe, so that makes 7 points if im correct. Both shot during bow season
  2. You should be fine as long as you don't keep going in and out of your house with it. Pyrodex is corrosive, but you should be ok
  3. I read somewhere that it would not effect the opening of trails for the snowmobiles so I no longer see the problem
  4. I find a lot of the staff to be useless there too. I call at 11:59 multiple times into 12:00 with no answer and no breaks in me calling, but somehow someone was able to get the early out reservation before me. I think they screen calls for people they know or something like that. Happened to me multiple times by the same guy each time
  5. Whiffed on a doe this morning. Had my dad stand at the other end of a small bedding area and they were bounding around inside the really thick shit. I had a nice broadside shot at one, but couldnt take it because of a tree in the way and I took a shot at a doe at 10-15 yards. Hit low and skimmed the brisket. Tracked it for maybe 100 yards before loosing blood, but there wasnt that much to begin with. I think itll survive thankfully. Had a buck 20 yards from my car in the dark and then I snuck up on a buck in the orchard just at shooting light. It was a really nice 6, but I passed on it. Hope it makes it. Ill post the doe and buck I got during bow season in a bit.
  6. I mean, they'll either come closer or itll draw their attention to the decoy and not you. I dont use one out of safety during rifle season
  7. I've used them during bow and gun, but I really dont use them during gun anymore
  8. Ive used them with great results. I would say a doe decoy is better than a buck, but both will work. most deer will travel 15-20 yards down wind of the decoy so set up appropriately
  9. What a shame. Its going to be impossible to replace him
  10. Use a funnel or tubes you can buy. Just make sure the loads are the same amount
  11. Seems like a fairly easy fix...take the scope off. You have to resight it anyway, so it doesnt matter
  12. The neighbor and her bf next to my grandparents 10 acres threaten to kill/shoot me time to time, so I might have you beat on that one.
  13. Id look east instead of north. Especially with EHD up in westchester, you're better off looking on the Island. What are you looking to hunt?
  14. What a way to kill the rut! Looks like fishing and pheasant hunting weather lol
  15. You guys are fooling yoursleves if you dont think both sides f's with the election
  16. I put a nikon buckmasters 2 on mine and I love it. If you can find a good nikon for a good price, id get one of those
  17. That is the plan. I don't have time to deal with losers, so ill leave it to the people who are paid to do it. I just want to be left alone and not talk to them anymomre
  18. I hunted yesterday and saw 7 deer in the morning. All the deer crossed the creek different paths and didnt come on the 10 yrd trail infront of me. One started to come, but for some reason she was a little nervous about coming on the trail that would have led her at 10 yards infront of me. I did see a nice 8pt cross the creek, but he didnt care about the grunts and snort wheezes I sent his direction. In the afternoon I went to my grandparents property, but my neighbor tried to stop me from entering my property as we have a shared road. She even went as far to threaten to shoot me. She says she doesnt want anyone hunting down there (my grandparents property), but shes perfectly fine with telling her friend to tresspass on my proeprty to hunt. DEC is going to take care of her friend with a list of charges and the troopers are taking care of my neighbor. I let it go last year when they threatend to kill me, but enough is enough. I told the trooper to tell them to never speak to me again and he told me that was a very good idea and if they persist, I should take further legal actions. I left at the best time to hunt to head to the state troopers so I didnt see a deer in the afternoon
  19. I say Tundra if you want used. I dont have much expereince with trucks, but from what i see the Fords and Toyotas are at the top. Toyota is just known for vehicles that run and run with few problems (but lack on the electronics) and the fords are pretty reliable and have a lot of features. Personally Ill be getting the 2022 model Tundra next october as my first truck. Only knock I can really give the tundra is the gas mileage. No way around the fact it doesnt get good milage
