Thats 100% the best way but i haven't been out since the 13th so i have no clue whats going on where i hunt.

I agree with that. The rut also has to do with the buck to doe ratio which for a lot of NY is heavily skewed towards the does.

I think WNY has an earlier rut then where i hunt below the Catskills.

looks like its hit a miss with activity. I would put my bottom dollar that this weekend is going to see a huge increase of activity.

How is the rutting activity going? I haven't been hunting in 2 weeks and im going up this weekend. I have a feeling this weekend is going to be good with the lower temps we are supposed to be getting.

I would just set up near the tree and wait for them to come down. Take a shotgun in the morning then go back for a bow for deer.

I was told that if you were unable to hold the legal draw weight for more then a certain amount of time you could apply for disability.

Why do the drags not work this time of the year? I have an idea but im not sure if im right.

I think you need to adjust your pin a little and keep on shooting groups like that. What i like to do is really pay attention to the first shot like i was hunting.

You can apply for disability hunting and it will let you use crossbow during bow season

Where in suffolk county are you? I know a couple of good ones in Nassau county.

If the water is running ill drag it through gutted, but if the water is stagnant i wouldn't.

I really am not willing to pay expensive mailing when im just trying it out. I wish i could get it sent to the dicks in LI or Wappingerfalls. -

I will see if i can find the pic here. I just read as i posted this that they are bad for the genetic make up of the gene pool. I was on the fence about shooting her until i read it.

On my cam check yesterday i got quite the surprise! I was hoping to get some bucks at my mock scrape but got frequent videos of this piebald . I never thought i would see one in NY but i found out that there are quite a few piebalds and Albinos in the town that i hunt.
