I personally prefer a 30-06 and I find it quite fun to shoot it. I bought this gun (through my dad) when I was 14 for my first season and i still use the same rifle for the last 5 years and I don't plan on changing at any time.

I would say just use fawn bleats and doe bleats.

I went to shelter island and saw multiple big bucks about 6-8 years ago. If i didnt live so far i would hunt there every so often.

I dont make anything out of the concords that i grow. I just eat them all day.

My grandparents had a 8 acre open field and they planted pot in a couple acres. -
A good time to start would be in like 2 weeks because there are a lot of fresh salmon and usually a nice run of fresh cohos at that time. Eggs and egg limitations are great for all of the fish. You could always cure the eggs you get out of the fish. Columbus day is usually the perfect storm of salmon fishing with every fish that enters the river a possible catch. If you want i could pm you more info including what rods, hooks and line is good to use as well as some spots.

I love using decoys! All you have to do is out them up wind of you and in a space that's as open as you can find in your area.

Queens Archery -
I'm not sure where they were hooked so they could have been mainly foul hooks.
-
Some people are having 50 hook ups on good days already! I expect september and early october to be great this year.

Im in the same boat as cabin fever. The best thing to do is get close to the bedding area and do a realistic rattling sequence. Its also best to be in an are with a balanced heard ratio and in NY those places are hard to find. Im sure if you catch the right deer in the right time he'll come in.

I hope i will be getting mine soon. I got mine around this time last year as well.

I find that you get a larger quantity but smaller quality fish on worms unless you troll them on a tube. Clam is good year round really but bunker takes the cake once they start showing up. Bass do eat squid but i have never seen one my self so I wouldn't even thing about live lining those things.
-
No problem. I know bass love to eat porgy but make sure they are keeper porgy or else you can be in serious trouble. I think the bass will be good for this weekend and maybe the next then it will slow way down. Im not even going to go Striper fishing any more or even fishing at all for that matter. I might get out for some fluke and porgy but now ill just be tying rigs and checking all my gear for the fall hunting and fishing season. Good luck out there and tell me how you do!
-
I cant give away the spot soo all I will say is that I was on a north shore back bay. You could go into any back bay and catch bass in early spring to early summer. The only problem is that its a little warm now but there still out there. There was some bunker every once in a while but other then that nothing like it was a month ago. The only problem is finding access to the back bays since a lot of the access points are privately owned. I suggest you get your self some circle hooks as well because they seem to swallow the bunker chinks if you give them a chance. They were all on the bottom but I never brought out the top water. Good luck out there.

got 10 stripers and a 10 lb blue on bunker chunks last weekend with the smallest was around 26".
