  1. We have about a foot of snow here and more coming.
  2. Yes. A good friend of mine told me last night that they do not know what to expect. He said coon dropped out of sight right now. Rats may be ok..not sure. Mink dropped. Coyotes they have no clue. Fisher dropped sum. Red fox will pay high and greys will do ok. There is an auction this weekend I am going to and check out some prices.
  3. Nice job. Must be nice to have bare ground..lol
  4. Wow Kludes. I do not own any, but one would think they would be a nice trap. Do you know what is causing it?
  5. Correct Predate. The type of set I was referring to is a projection set with the end of the stick over the center of the pan.
  6. I live on the border of 6k and 7a. I mostly trap the 6k=northern side, but do some on the7a=southern side.
  7. I think it is hard to get lure to spoil. I do believe when they roll, they smell something on the ground and trap bed. I find I get belly hair when I use a rub post with gland lure and my post is not high enough and they lower down to rub.
  8. Kludes. My mink catch is way down this year. An older friend of mine who runs a 100 mile mink line said his catch is down by almost half.
  9. It is up to you what you do with them, but In my opinion if you take it, you should atleast get some value out of it. Coyotes pay pretty good.
  10. I put out bait all over to run the hounds off from. I have seen it take a month before anything hits it, and I have seen it take less than a week.
  11. Quite a few greys around here. They are not very big. Smaller than reds.
  12. Shoot them and skin them. Coyotes are paying a decent price.
  13. Oh yea..we have them and probably was. I took it as a "cat" looking thing. Sorry.
  14. Must b a southern thing. Things like that dont happen in my neck of the woods in the north.
  15. Exactly jjb4900...rare...but possible
  16. NOT TRUE. It is a genetic fact that they can breed and have fertile offspring. The reason it is not common is because social habits differ and a coyote would rather hate a dog than mate to it. Breeding cycles are different.
  17. I DO AGREE the dogs should not be on your land if you do not want them there. I do find it hard to believe that labs would be following a scent trail left bt deer 30 minutes later.
  18. Little on the ground here.
