Just stating facts. Of the 1000;s die hard true coyote hunters and trappers..the big name fellas, they have never caught or killed a wolf in NYS.

Tough to say what the weight of that coyote is, but I know I am horrible at judging. We weigh every coyote. For the first few years we were way off at guessing, but seeing them in person we have an idea now. Its funny when a newbie tries to guess the weight. They are about 20lbs off..on the heavy side.

We have killed 60+ coyotes a year for the last 10 years, and I have only seen one close to 60lbs...58 being the heaviest. Only been a dozen over 50. Any one who says they get 60-70lbs yotes are not believeable. Of all those yotes I believe they average around 35lbs. This one was 41 42 37 41 this one was 47

Glad others are getting it for once. Sunny here, but we will get ours. I live in between Pulaski and Parish, and we normally get pounded every year.

We got several inches of snow. Gonna slow me down on K9's for a few days.

I pulled out of the farm the coyotes came from yesterday. They let me trap, but would like the first week of SZ gun season to hunt then have me come back.

His name is Mark Zagger. He averages 100+ every year. He does all this in a 3 week stretch!

We have taken 4 black ones This one was barely 51 pounds..and that is big.

In 20 years of looking for a yote track, I have seen 4 together only a few times..mostly 2 during mating season

I highly doubt coyotes of the 70-80 pound range..50 is pushing it. A pack is usually mother, father and pups. Come late fall they split up.

I use the purple Python ear tags for cattle. I hook them to the collars of my hounds and I put one on the back of my hunting coat. Have not had any ticks on me or the hounds.
