i paid 4k out the door for mine, delivered, installed and piping... that year we had a $1500 tax break for energy efficient also, so the stove cost me 2500 lol brandnew. Its a really nice Avalon, 50K BTU i think. heats my house perfect!
my whole process cost me $105 i think and from date i delivered to the date i got the permit was 2 months to the day... after submitting i received a call for my interview where they asked question and took my finger prints. i never heard of submitting your app and taking fingerprints??
i can tell you if you send your character references in all notarized and ready to go it will speed the process since they dont have to waste time and days calling your listed references. i submitted mine with a notarized character reference for each with my app.
I keep going... ive seen plenty of deer come in after one is spooked. in fact last year i blew about 6 deer off the field opening day and they all came back with in 30 minutes. Try not to get to mental on some things, kicking deer up happens. Cant sit in the dark wasting time trying to come up with a extra strategy on where to sit since you spooked some game. whats the worse that happens you see nothing in the morning? bet early afternoon deer will move though again... or maybe even right after you kicked em up
pellet stoves are great! i actually just turned mine on last night... i burn Okanagan Pellets i believe i can double check when i get home but what ever they are they throw off amazing heat and burn very clean fine ash! they burn long too... i love the ones i use but each stove might burn just a bit different.
got out opening day and saw nothing until 130pm total deer for the day on opening day was 7 buck and 1 doe. but seems a bit slow now so im hoping for the best also
haha we did the same thing! i got into talking with a bar tender where we ate dinner over looking the falls and she sent us over to the guy Dick who has been in charge of changing the lights for 30 years. we were changing lights and taking pics for an hour. it was a lot of fun. we didnt see any raccoon but the bartender did said Dick has been feeding them for years now.
