goodluck to you guys, i had to take off for opening day cause i didnt wnat to miss that. saw 7 bucks and 1 doe on that day long sit... im pissed i wont be able to hunt again until next weekend but its ok im going away with some fam to niagra falls. i never been there...

id go nuts on them, they need to rectify the situation. its not your fault they are clearly incompetent...

have you hunted the island? looks like every 200" that was ever taken off LI lol no pen deer here...

are you hunting private where its not disturbed to much? out here on the island can be tricky on trying to capitalize on a buck hanging around for more then one reason. Biggest reason is out here you never know whos in the woods when you are not. happens all the time, even little honey holes have people wondering through... always seems to be people walking around doing crap in the woods and with people doing that it will make that buck change his habits. my opinion is if you dont see him this week you might have a hard time putting an eye on him. Do you think hes living around there? or just a passer buck moving through? never know, when things pop off you might be in the right spot when that hot doe brings him by you. Just out here its a crap shoot and there is alot of variables to make a buck change his ways making it hard for you to ever see him, plus when the rut comes god knows where that buck will go. the good part is they are still hitting some food sources so find out where hes feeding without blowing him out of his bedding area if hes living around where you hunt. i think with in the next few days things will change and seeing him may be tough for a few weeks until things heat up, thats MO but good luck Rich! hope you get him also i think he is a solid 2 1/2 or could be a 3 year old i dont think hes a 3 1/2... he looks young

i have had 2 yearling come back and stick around while i field dressed the mom, that was up in 8w, its very common... that was my 3rd doe with yearlings...

i have shot about 3 very big mature doe who had either 1 or 2 yearlings. they will be fine... they link up with another doe and get taken in.

nice deer guys, congrats! i didnt see anything until about 130Pm.. had a 4 point come in then later on had a 4 point and a 3 point come in feeding around. followed by a really nice wide buck off in the distance then never came in. Had a nice wide 115-120" 8 point come in but picked me out, wasnt going to take him but he was a nice buck. also had a 6 point and a doe come in and a spike. pretty good night tonight.

All setup, good luck to all and be safe. I was walking to my stand and had 2 bucks sparing then hittin the horns pretty good about 100 yards from my stand.
