i dont think the deer herd really batted an eye by us here on the island. Even in spite of the harsh harsh weather we endured this winter i think the herd did great for the most part. i literally see deer everwhere and not to mention the sign is everywhere. its a good sign to see coming out of the tail end of winter... i am no scientist and for the most part the sign is speak of is around where i hunt not all over. but i cant see it being any worse, but hey you never know.

With a teenager in the house I get to see all those movies....I knew what it was....LOL. Kinda sad a guy has to fly under tha radar like he is because of what he does. i never would have guessed that name and i have seen the movie like 3 times... i agree with you, it is kind of sad...

^^ good looking deer, very nice -
good to know, i might kill a 206 this season so i have to know these things... thanks joe on the serious side i was always curious how they added deductions. its a incredible buck to say the least..
-
what a buck! im surpised that buck net booned 182" thought maybe it would have been higher looking at it. i dont know awhole lot about the scoring process but is it typical for a deer like this to gross that high and yet have 24" in deductions??

hey john, yeah i got some really nice spots picked... i have a very strange memory, its almost photographic when it comes to hunting i can remember a specific tree, broken branch, pile of brush a plant growing out of the ground or land mark and remember the exact tree or specific object i saw even after only walking past it once 6-8 months prior. lol its funny my buddies always joke about it. i never mark any trees, i love to be stealthy. i dont want anyone to know i was even there or where i am. i can find my way to my stand in the pitch black even after being to it only once on new property. as i continue to go to that tree every so often thoghout the season i paint a picture in my head as the leaves drop, so its not like i go in with out leaves on the trees then go in with the leaves on the trees and get turned around. Nothing worse to me then going in the woods and walking all over trying to find you stand in the dark and spoiling a good spot. ive learned from mistakes when i was younger and developed a pretty neat gift. if i need a helping aid i use a natural branch as a marker that i would be the only one to know about that branch. If any other hunters saw he would walk by thinking nothing of it...

thats crazy, very fast. you know what tho, even on my 600F4I on thottle alot that thing sucked gas down lol. had to fill up like 3 times in one day of riding. have you ever heard of Texas Mile? thats like the new flats. all street cars and bikes go there. twin turbo vipers, blown and turbo vettes. Its crazy. last i heard the fastest car there was this guy SW who drives a 98 Turbo Supra and it went something like 248 mph in a standing mile. I think the ford GT guys took it back with a 252mph. thats fast lol, all considered street cars and are registered and insured.

i saw quite a few deer yesterday, none with antlers... prob mostly does. man i had my eyes peeled for some sheds too
-
i remember a big thing a few years ago was busas and Toyota Supras going at it big time. The Busa guys with bottles couldn't believe the Supras would walk a bike up top lol
-
i only want to take them with the bow, i have no interest to do it with the gun. Its just me... i love using the bow
-
well, i scouted a few different spots today! got a few trees picked for this coming bow season. i covered an un godly distance of walking today and i came up with NO sheds lol. well, this was the first time i really paid attention to looking for them so i cant be mad. Its like hunting, cant always kill one the first day out. i will be doing more scouting maybe next weekend, maybe ill find a shed then. does anyone think its possible that most are still sporting head gear? lol

hmmm... no that you mention it -
i have heard NOW NO FLAMING HERE, quite a few claims in feeders being able to give a hunter an edge and aid in bringing deer in to size a deer up for doe management and reduce the mistake of shooting a button buck by mistake. Ive heard this on a few hunting shows where it is legal and the claims were said to reduce the number of buttons shot and supposably they claimed it works. Again, just what ive seen on TV.

going to do ALOT of scouting tomorrow. got alot of places to look into for this years bow season and i am hoping to come across some sheds. i have never found any sheds in the woods to date so hopfully i do tomorrow!
-
yeah, not a bad gig right there. always wanted to take the bike upstate for a nice ride tho. never got the chance...
-
wow you got yourself some furs there sir
-
it would be nice but you can not expect everyother hunter to be able to tell the difference from a nice doe and a button buck. mistaking a button for a doe happens all tomuch and i can see that being an issue and also a sort of contridiction to the system if AR was the way.
