thats interesting, i guess there is different out comes meassured by the degree of the liver hit?
-
Sad but the reality of that question is i think a doe would get swept under the carpet in that situation. Not by some but prob most... i think if most guys shot a deer sporting head gear like this they would put ALOT into the recovery of that animal. Well, atleast thats what i would think. i could be wrong...

those are some nasty pics... never saw a deer like that before

ive never heard of a liver hit deer dieing within minutes. maybe liver lung... if it was just a liver hit deer it could be a long time before that buck expired depending on the mortality of that hit. his shot could have nipped the liver but depending on the angle of the shot and where it exited from the deer, it does sound like mostly a gut shot, which is probably why there was little to no blood. that cavity was in my guess full of blood but may not have bled out right away near the location of where the deer was hit. liver hits are very easily mistaken by those who have a hard time replaying the shot in their head and also knowing exactly where they hit the deer. Its mistaken easily due to the fact of the blood that you get from a liver hit deer is usually pretty good and the deer can leave a very decent blood trail so some guys can pick up the trail fast and just push the deer. It does start to look very watery after so many yards from what ive seen. gut shots are tough tho... i miss judged a shot on a doe one year, she was quartering to slightly more then i thought, i made a perfect lung shot but the arrow exited lower rear gut and left me with no blood until 70 yards or so, luckily i saw where she crossed a logging road and walked right to the spot, she was dead right there with lung bubbles coming out like crazy. she went 100 yards but if i did not see where she crossed the road it would have been along tracking job and that was on a lung shot.

A gas station owner in Mississippi was trying to increase his sales. So he put up a sign that read,"Free Sex with Fill-Up." Soon a local redneck pulled in, filled his tank and asked for his free sex. The owner told him to pick a number from 1 to 10. If he guessed correctly he would get his free sex. The redneck guessed 8, and the proprietor said,"You were close! The number was 7. Sorry. No sex this time." A week later, the same redneck, along with his brother, Bubba, pulled in for another fill-up. Again he asked for his free sex. The proprietor again gave him the same story, and asked him to guess the correct number. The redneck guessed 2 this time. The proprietor said, "Sorry, it was 3. You were close, but NO free sex this time." As they were driving away, the redneck said to his brother, "I think that game is RIGGED, and he doesn't really give away FREE Sex." Bubba replied, "No it ain't, Billy Ray. It ain't rigged. My WIFE won twice last week."

ahhhh, maybe it is Eddie.... the timing is too perfect. -
LOL yeah i know... and Cluv usually if you post up on this site 99% are from NY, hence huntingny.com lol but yeah perhaps we should ask, never know where its coming from. the past few pics spotted have indeed come from NY and were admitted too tho... i guess its alo important that the individual posting pictures knows the habits and ethics of the guys he hunts with.

yeah, over here from what i hear i have to make 2 trips. 1 go to the store pick out a gun, have them give me a PO for the gun 2 go out to Riverhead show them the PO with the info on the gun 3 go back to the store buy the gun 4 bring the gun back to Riverhead for filing of paper work and inspection of gun. so thats our process here -
