I have a pic of the deer that my buddy sent me hope it's not the same deer, it does not look 170 to me tho it deff looks 140ish tho. But doesn't have big brows, spread or mass IMO but I've been wrong before lol.

My buddy shot his at 1pm and mine was at like 215pm My other buddy just shot a nice little 10 point. He also told me about some giant giant 8 point that's at Oakdales taxidermist that went 170" anyone hear this!??? That's hugeeee for an 8, if that's true I has to see pics of this thing. I heard people went down and said it was a giant 8 160-170 but wonder how true it is??

I would think before you purchase property you walk it. If the buyer wanted them down before closing then I'm sure he could have worked something out with he origonal owner and the person who built them. I'm sure something could have been worked out if addressed from the start

scary... you never know what some are willing or capable of...

i would have done the same thing .. honestly if the new neighbor took a better approach i would have helped him take them down. But in all fairness, the new owner took ownership of the property and everything within in so he is now the proud owner of a bunch or permanent tree stands... i mean if your buddy helped the old owner put up moldings in the house and the new owner wanted them down is he responsible to take them down? lol no...

thanks guys, it was a fun hunt! it was one of the best hunts this year. i actually lost count on how many bucks i saw that day. my other spot where i have the big boys on cam has been EXTREMELY unproductive. they are there and keep showing up just not in the day. The spot where i took the 7 point is where i shot at and skimmed the top of that 130 class 8. both are great properties but the ones has just started to pick up. My buddy is out there this morning and said he has seen 5 bucks and 3 doe by 8am. 3 bucks were running doe he said. i am going to split some time between gun season this year, instead of my usual 1 week upstate, i will be up there for a few days and back on the island to try and fill that tag if i can. things are happening so late out here, i think that mild winter threw alot of things off balance. JMO

well im finally getting a chance to put up some pic. Quick back story, the deer i took i ended up passing the sunday prior to my hunt. i had him at 15 yards and decided to give him the pass. Fast Fwd to Sat, the deer my by buddy ended up shooting i had between 15-20 yards at around 12 noon. i gave him the pass and that buck ended up following a doe to my buddies stand. He also passed him but texted me he thought he made a mistake and should have taken the deer. He said if he came back he would take it so i said go for it. about 40 minutes later i get the text that the deer is down! so i was pumped for him. we have been hunting together for a few years now but never shared a harvest together. about 1 hour later the 7 point i passed the week before came in running around smelling my scent wick he gave me a 25 yard shot and i decided to give him the green light and take it. I was not going to take the buck but i figured the camaraderie that followed this harvest would have been worth it considering we would be going home with 2, 7 points! full pass though he went 40 yards and piled up. i was pumped, its been an extremely troubling year for us and things seem soooo late this year. i have over 120 hours logged this season and the only shooters i have seen on stand were my first 2 hunts of the year. they will taste good and boy was it something sharing these 2 buck together. well worth it! still have more tags so watch out deer lol im writing from the comp and posting pics from my phone, i didnt take many pics considering we had alot of work to do getting the deer out.

That's the entry hole... Very impressed with those heads. My buddy used them too on his 7 today. Our buddies shoot the montes and my partner and I shoot the rage. They abuse us for using them but moments like this we love cause we send them the pics! Lol

My buddy hunting 200 yards from me shot a decent 7 point. Saw some good deer movement today I just shot a nice 7 point! He's not a monster but he made me work for the shot and now I have meat in the freezer! I still have small bucks around me walking around, great day to be in the woods

Had a spike around 645am, watched him a bit on ridge then he started wheezing at something it ended up being a red fox. At 850 a nice wide 7 point came in right to one of my wicks. He came is fast I wasn't ready. I did try and get the camera on him but he looked up bounded off

i think the butcher processes the deer and gets paid some way or another though the state and the deer is distributed to soup kitchens and so on. thas cool that you would drive it where it needs to go to get it butchered. hope you get one down, its for a good cause!
