    Full Moon

wait so you get to pick these 6 hours? is this an actual option for you or are you just asking a question? If its a nice cold morning ill spend my 6 hours in the AM but thats me. when those does are hot those big boys are moving. (somewhere) traffic doesnt stop across the board for the moon...

    Full Moon

i NEVER go by the moon phase... some of my best all day sits ever occurred during a full moon. i actually lough when people base hunts on moon phase. one thing of advise i can give is dont put all your eggs in one basket in regards to the moon. you wont kill one sitting home and last year alone on a full moon weekend i had the best hunt ever and it started at 9am... Its takes a hot doe or 2 to get the woods stirred up. And the moon does not give that doe the green or red light to come into heat. always go in positive, im not guaranteeing you to see deer on a full moon in the AM but dont think for one second the possibility of seeing deer is slim.
  4. the rights would not convey unless property is paid in full... im no dummy lol i would make sure all my bases are covered. ive been screwed in the past on things. ive tightened up and think of everything
  5. no not at all dave lol even if you were i have thick skin i can take jokes
  6. i would have my attorney make this legit if i decided to sell. its doesnt seem like something so far fetched to be contacted by someone who is interested. Funny part was i have been thinking of selling it to buy something bigger for a few weeks now. i just wanted to see if his was a common thing to do up there...
  7. lmao good catch, i meant hand written letter... sorry
  8. if i sold all right would convey and there are no current leases...
  9. first deer i took was a doe qautering away at 18 yards, double lung. broke 2 ribs in 2 ribs out. the arrow hit the ground behind her before she even reacted. she bounded and as she did her cavity made the loudest sound of blood filling up and air moving in and out, it was like a wahh wahh wahh, deep... she went 20 yards from where she was when i shot stood there wagged her tail went to walk off and fell right over. the whole thing lasted under 10 seconds i never saw a deer go down so fast! i was hooked from that point on and was so amazed at the way that head performed for me. the hole it put in and out was un godly... i can stick my hand through the deer, no lie...
  10. yeah was going to say if you have foam in your quiver try not to push it in so far. i have no foam and still dont bottom out my tips in my quiver. also try not to let the blades touch one another when taking in and out. i have yet to have a blade pop open on me yet with this new design. BTW the secret i found out with the O-ring design was while you were putting the blades back under to o-ring, i would spin my o-ring to a different spot where the blades never caught so there was no small groove in the o-ring that would cause the blades to deploy prematurely
  11. great way to think John! not going to kill one sitting home thinking about the warm weather... i always think positive myself
  12. can you post a picture of the 8? would love to see a shot of this deer. must be a beautiful 8 to go 145
  13. it was during the day and he came flying by and landed on my stand rail, 100% a lightening bug. i didnt take note to anything else on him lol.
  14. like i said gentleman i rough scored him on the higher end to show that deer is not approaching the 140 mark and i also looked at him for 3 seconds before i said first thought was 130" then i did a fast measure. Cant tell if there is another tine or if its a split cause that will change a lot on his gross. i was generous with my measurements... Its still a great buck! i hope he gets him, he will look great on the wall!
  15. not sure what you saw but i did have a lightening bug land on my tree stand Saturday afternoon...
  16. yes those are what i use... no ORings
  17. wow that grey fox is mint! they wont kill your spot... i have fox on cam and 5 minutes later deer. i dont think it causes to much of a damper on things..
  18. No, she didnt ask for any personal info but seemed very sincere in her letter and her intentions on building a home to raise a family on it.
  19. my Rage extremes did not come with an ORing, just a shock collar so my guess would be you do not need the ORing anymore... i cant see how the 2 would work together? the shock collar was a great idea but i could be wrong , i dont think it was intended to be used in conjunction with the ORing?
  20. Hi, i was wondering if its pretty common up there to get offers on your property via mail? i just received a whole hand written letter from a women stating she is very interested in my property and would like to purchase it from me while i hold the deed until she pays it off within in 6 months? i was tossing around the idea of listing it even tho i just bought it in march. i want something bigger! so its funny how i got the letter in the mail. Just want to make sure there is no scam going around up there or something. Its in otsego so through the county maps you can access land owners information and everything about the property, so it is rather easy to get in touch with a land owner in Otsego. thanks!
  21. lol its a beautiful thing... i started using Rage about 5 years ago, once i started i never even looked at another broad head. i personally love the way they fly, the penetration, the devastation it does to an animal i mean its unbelievable. It puts em down in a hurry. One thing i can say is just dont get a false sense of security when using them, you still have to make the shot count but it can in cases make short tracking jobs from marginal shots.
