  1. I like undergrads as well and the Cabelas equivalent of them. I typed Thunderheads.
  2. G5 Monotec' s....I shoot 49 #'s...tend to hit shoulder on occasion with total penetration and they also work great on the cross bow bolts, fly true. Two years..two heart shots. One center punch on a 35 yrs shot went straight through him and was lost into swamp vegetation.
  3. Tonight will be venison meat loaf. Potatoes, acorn squash, some other green veggie to be decided.
  4. Happy birthday Rupert Sorry to hear about Jenny ,bless you both. I'm in tears often with Angel. She is just so old, yet tries to act like a pup when we are out. I know times running out And she's been my constant companion for 13 yrs. She meets me on the landing each morning. Leans her head and neck tight to my leg in a hug before we start our day. She truly is my best friend.
  5. OH I do,I,do....then get yelled at by all of them...You should hear the house phone machine.. " ma...pickup,pickup,pickup,pickup...I know your screening your calls."...No...I'm out working... Mr B calls to me...you just got a text, not once,3 times..I finally yell back..So what?!...It'l won't be going away!!!! What I need is one I can call out on only and never receive calls.. BTW.Bought a bright lime green Otter case for it.like a road crew shirt...If I loose this one they'll know it was on purpose...lol
  6. I want you to know I went into the Verizon store to active my new phone...I have witnesses to this...before I was out the door...Mr. B called me 4 times...My daughter snatched it from me and told him to leave me be. I'll be home later after snacks and margaritas at Chi Chi's with her..don't worry she's bring dinner home with her...lol My collar and leash have been activated again....
  7. Let me just give you guys that drive in this stuff all the time...A WORLD OF CREDIT! I drove home from Big Flats last night ...only one lane half clean, snowing, pitch blk and tractor trailers all going 74 mph on very slick snow...I was finally able to get off 20 miles from home and take the no car back roads... I barely made it up our hill, ant skid was on the entire away...I about had lock jaw by the time I got home. walked through the door and went straight for my BP pills.... God bless ya.... I'm so glad those days are well in my past....
  8. Lol...I had to go double check...noticed with the arthritis flare up in my hands,I've been dropping letters I didn't hit the key hard enough on....That makes sense to me now....
  9. Yes, but that variety...and many come from the Geneva and Cornell testing sites...I have used their on line sales to my advantage....They do a lot of winter sales bundles on line. The paper catalog is like reading a magazine ,minus the pages of useless ads...If nothing else, it's very informative.
  10. Critter, I was just looking through all the warm summer pictures and views from my blinds.... A little less than 3 mos. to go...less for some of us...It felt good to talk to a hen the other day...We usually don't hear or see them until early April up hear...I must be doing something right in combo with the weather...I can hardly wait!
  11. Oh but it is! If I were truly intelligent...I'd thrown the dang thing out the window months ago...I of course make errors, I've typed entire sentences backwards ..I have a thing with reversing letters. When tired , on the phone or a couple of sites at a time...I sometimes don't bother looking up at the Computers auto correct for those red squiggly lines or check my proper usage... The Kindle though...Holy Crud! I spend more time correcting and re-correcting completely illogical sentences it produces. When I KNOW I typed the words correctly before hitting send......It's always had an auto correct issue...it's just gotten worse...I am too cheap to buy a new device...That Kindle needs to die first...the rotation on screen has quit, the auto correct is worse, and the charging plug is about dead......My daughter tells me the new ones are fantastic...she just replaced her boyfriends at Christmas. She had purchased both of ours at the same time...his died first...5yrs..didn't seem that long...That's pretty old in electronic years I suppose.
  12. Ya know last spring I caught a few rather large coyotes on the cams....Not any since...lots of fox...So I think the guys around me have been doing a good job...
  13. Starting out right...there are several cover crop species that have nature weed suppressing "chemicals" in their structure. These are called Allelopathic traits. You just need to research which are the best to plant and incorporate into a rotational system...For they can also effect the crops you want...so read, read, read..... http://www.organicagcentre.ca/Extension/ext_weed_allelopathic.asp https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/hs186 http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1081/CSS-200056933?scroll=top&needAccess=true&journalCode=lcss20
  14. So with Cuomo's new outdoors initiative, including expanding archery classes in schools( NYODN) including recurve and compounds but crossbows as well, think the bill will pass this time around?
  15. nope...no...nah...not going there...dang there goes my tongue again....lol
  16. Ya Biz............ the kids of the farmer and his wife, we bought our land from thought the same thing...until one day one of their 13 kids and I were talking and I casually said, "I miss your parents we had some great times sitting around their kitchen table talking and laughing...Man your mom knew some wild jokes." ...Well the shock on their face said it all...ooopppsss...I don't care they were a couple of fun elder people to chat with. She could tell a mean joke for an 89 yr old..
  17. I'm interested to know if you've spoken to the land owner yet and how that conversation went...if your exchange with Mr AH was heated as you mentioned, did he get to the land owner first?...Lordy take a gift with you....if you haven't. It's curious to me how many ask why he or any would take a deer. I've mentioned many times I am a shoulder shooter...and this is why...I don't attempt them in archery, though they have happened...it's where my eye tends to wander for good or bad because of those lost buck. Each time due to distance I had the deer drop where they stood. I'm not surprised by this in the least...it happens here all the time. I'm not the only one to loose a deer that a decision to "give it time" in a gut pile only ending...sometimes they don't even bother with that! We have one great white hunter that has bought garage sale bucks and claimed them as his own, even though he has some nice buck he actually shot....hhhmmm we think. He really needs to keep his chatty wife out of the loop...hahahahaha The one thing that resonates soundly from this is: truer words never spoken.
  18. The big boys here lost there racks in early January...We weren't hit by the drought like most here. Fighting and breeding took its toll on the ones not shot. Some of the youngish are still sporting their racks.
  19. Mr B had a rather larger21/2old. Buck with 12 " long spikes shaped just like daggers run head long into the side of his truck one morning. He punctured the cab just behind the drivers seat but lived. Thrashing around in the road. He called the cops then me ,we arrived at the same time just as the buck died. He couldn't safely get to it to do anything. The sheriff gave me a tag and Mr B and I loaded it in my pick up. He went to work and I went home and processed the buck great taste.
  20. Out of likes...my filter left me at 50. I told my in-laws...I'm now old enough to have earned the right to tell you what I really think and not care if anyone doesn't like it. Other than that..I've always spoke my mind. The telling of off colored jokes will never happen. I can't remember any jokes to save my life. The one he told me is the exception, only because I found the circumstances funnier than the joke. I've visited a few assisted living places over the years. They have for the most part been a hoot. I can only hope I can have someone say that about me when I get to be old...Then again..I have no plans on getting old. I May fall apart, but never get old...
  21. Manic...if I was wrong you have my apology and a hope to see your sharing of interests on the site. PS...personally I think half the stuff sold in little brown bottles comes from guys they give a little $$ to and a couple of 12 packs...
