  1. Does it come with an industrial sterilizer as well.....lol
  2. You guys handled that quite nicely...congrats Elmo
  3. Bright star filled sky...wind howling.....have to think a bit on wanting to fling an arrow with 40 mph gusts. Good luck everyone.
  4. Ok so I corrected FLETCHING 4 x' s and Kindle wants kvetching...let's see if this new post works. PS...That wire was bent so far down, that won't happen again.
  5. Well I went to were the turkey stood to back track arrow. What I found was my vetching..great,no feathers but it's wet, discolored though it has been used to kill deer. No arrow to be found so of I go looking for a wounded or dead turkey. Want to know what looks like a dead turkey in the fall woods? EVERYTHING! The whole time replying what happened...All they did was flutter and slowly move off. Is that how a bow shot turkey will act? I looked for an hour under every Bush and tree. Then went back and sat in the blind...I believe that because they got in so close I cleared the window and wire with the broad head but the flex in shot made the vetching catch the wire fencing ,ripping it off. Thus sending the arrow God only knows where. Should have the birds on my cam...Will post tomorrow.
  6. Shot gun comes out tomorrow ..too fast too close shot high they never even spooked..fluttered and walked away! No idea how far my arrow went $$. $$ Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

  11. Ya...That would be ...no place on us UN less we have a straight east wind. Or they bed along my brush piles fences....
  12. Snowing on and off here...wish the winds would calm down...
  13. You do know they had a plan they started implementing along with the no hunting regulation, right?
  14. They made their reasons very clear...pressured pigs are educated pigs...harder to hunt or trap...Actual study done in the states that have them. To address crop damage...How much do you know about pigs? How much do you know about soil structure? Now as far as population...I haven't heard ppl talking about seeing pig numbers growing. I'd have to assume that at first glance their initial plan worked. Top that of with some nasty sub zero ,lengthy sub zero, temps the last couple of winters...things may not be bad. I did not agree with the plan but hey if it worked...See I know what kind of nasty parasites and diseases that pigs are capable of transferring to live stock and humans...no thanks
  15. What temps are you guys seeing?...I got surprisingly cold here, even though on the hill we are always colder than most in this Fingerlakes area.
  16. So I've really not moved around much the last 3 weeks...,Being ill I stayed close to home on the few hunts I've done since opening week. Now they are really moving about more and I know I have them sitting along the ridge The problem is I believe they are bedding there in both the morning and the afternoon. Sight and sound will betray me in the mornings and wind in the afternoons....I would really like to get in there with my climber...I can chain it to the tree,so to be all set to go, that's not a problem...but not sure of a time I could actually get to it with out bumping something...turkeys are roosting there as well. I know when cams say they are up and moving off the ridge but unsure when the are returning to it in the afternoon. I have stands at either end of the ridge some above and below it...nothing right on it.
  17. Rain and wind going into blind...gusts nearly picked the Dog House up...40's when I went out 34 degrees now ...I saw zilch..not even a crow...heard a buck grunt before light and just after....I had a layered but not enough ,for I was freezing by the time Ma nature put in a call and I had to come home. It was suppose to also clear up around noon...now it's saying 3pm...we'll see, 22mph gusts, it's pretty raw out there.
  18. Baked chicken breasts,butternut squash and potato,corn.
  19. Still calling for rain and wind but I'll be out there anyways...hoping that the turkey show again...
  20. Papist.......please don't do that...it is illegal put anything in a person mail box unless your a mail carrier...if they have a news paper box..use that.
  21. My phone has a wht. case...it stays in my coat unless in the shooting houses
  22. You actually look like you have options other than that particular job title, from what little you told here of experiences. I'll assume you've looked at area universities...I would think with places like the U of R, RIT,Aflred university, engineering depts., your qualifications would come into play for any of those Tech /engineering schools. Then there's always the going through each company in the areas your looking to see if they have someone in that position that is close to retirement...and going for it bit more...lets say... aggressively
  23. hahahahaha...I appreciate that one...lol
