Too late snowed today...BTW...look at weather? rain rain rain...and several all day 90% ...look out guys because I'm seeing snow,snow, snow...in our near and far future...plowers and snowmobilers get ready...

Ok..up at 3:46...Hunted in sleet and howling winds...cleaned house, stove...took care of all animals, took my walk,laundry...yada,yada yada...I'm having a real hard time wanting to sit in 16 mph winds again tonight. Blind or no blind. Especially when they are calling for 3mph winds tomorrow...hhmmmm I'll give it another half hour of thought.

Oh remember feet sweat and boots do not always dry over night...invest in a good boot drier ...because it may feel dry to you but your feet will freeze...

Main things...2 good pens and a clear idea of exactly what unit and the TOWN and County your in...Now that sounds obvious...but believe me it can and does get confusing in certain areas of certain units, Cut month and day out all you want...if the tag isn't filled out and your caught gutting it by a officer he will ticket you...they love those simple tickets...and loosing a pen in the leafs easier than one may think. A head lamp...it's a PITA to gut with a pen light in your mouth. Compass or GPS app and a extra phone charge thingy...yes I said thingy..lol If your camping an orange plastic roll up sled punch holes along the sides just big enough to use para cord to lash it around your hog tied deer to help drag it out...use it under your sleeping bag to help with moisture...Also webbing is easier on you for dragging deer than rope is...like the tree straps given with the less expensive tree stand harnesses. You know the rest, guys have mentioned. spare charger though...cold eats battery strength and always extra dry socks and gloves. if boots got wet...2 bread bags over dry socks and your good to go again...

CF I get the same problem here and I use underground...so this is what I have to do...go to change stations and click...it gives you all the places they have weather stations in your area...we have a lot...but we also have a lot of hills, a valley and land contours...I sometimes have to manually pick my station because they haven't auto picked correctly...just did that now...went from no wind to 13mph gusts...which may still be a tad light and my temp went to where it's suppose to be...

Haha just picking but.....you can always save it for later..

lol sweet peepers...WTH...I might as well give up ..or just steal Mr B's newer version of Kindle...Mines just getting worse.. I planted a Late June /July garden and have around 7 bushels of green tomatoes out there...grew great just not fast enough...Well some are starting and I have brought them in to finish ripening...speaking of which think I'll go get some to make fried green tomatoes...before the freeze hits also some more swiss chard...I had GREAT swiss chard this year. I tossed a bunch of left over bush bean seeds out into the turnip plot and got some great beans out of them...until the deer found them.

PS... we now have heat! and it was snowing when he left....

They are late..where's the fireball when you need one? Well after last year's mature 8pt...I'm not sure I want anther "big"buck...his meat was nearly impossible to stomach.. Now I shot him for body size not rack.I've shot many big boys but that one was the heaviest and only one with bad tasting meat. But years ago I started going with shooting deer same or bigger point wise , than previously never going under an 8 pt . Not for trophies,just personal goals....I tend to manage life with personal goals

Just starting to pack up and a huge doe(thought it was a buck at first) and 2 ,nice doe with 3 fawns showed up...still had time so I lowered curtains and stood...the WR I planted beat me...for they were content feeding there. Finally one doe came over and I drew. Had to let up..got closer I drew...this happened 3x'sin all but she wouldn't turn broad side...Then my phone vibrated...day done .it took her another 10 mins to get 20 yrds broad side as I quietly closed the blind Windows and called Mr B to say dinner would be late...I'm trapped in the blind...So close ..yet so far away...had fun anyhow.
