    LMAO! Really!? Pro bono or not pro bono Mr Tresmond better brush up on his firearms or bring in a firearms expert, BECAUSE I will say it one more time. There are plenty of Remington model 870's filling gun cabinets within NY that will not hold more then 5 rounds UNPLUGED using 2 3/4 shotgun shells within the magazine and in no shape or form will allow the addition of an extension tube to hold more rounds without serious modifications along with the purchase of new gun barrels that will handle adaption of such said "high capacity extension tube".

    Did you read my Remington 870 pump shotgun will not hold more than 5 rounds of 2 3/4 shells in the mag? Even if your statement has some merit that applies to pump shotguns, dont assume all 870's will fall under this law. I'm also still waiting for you to show or qoute that section of the law. Not just some quote from a news article that was interpeted by the author.

    Now that sounds more logical and inline what I have read in the SafeAct bill. This whole thing on 870 pumps being banned is the first I have heard about it anywhere on the web and I mean anywhere.

    I say BS and where is this so called magazine restriction in the bill? I cant find it and I have a copy of the original bill. Further more I own a 870 and maybe Im an idiot but on my 870 the most I can get in my magazine is 5 rounds and thats with 2 3/4 shells.

    I wouldnt be surprised if the ammo background checks gets ammended and it all will boil down to a simple scan of your drivers license at time of purchase. What they do now for certian over the counter cold medications.

    More shooting? Yep I have heard it here too. Also I am seeing more turkey hunters in the woods this year then I have seen in a while too. Seems like an influx of spring turkey hunters this year.

    X2 Yep I just got word from my clients in Dutchess that they got him and he is back home safely.

    I have thousands of acres of huntable woodlands and fields that surround my house. I have yet to hear a singal shotgun blast or a gobble for that matter this season. I have seen a few turkey hunters patroling the area since the opener too but I can tell you, I can see the frustration in their faces as they coast on by the house.

    Have not been out once yet this year. But I can tell you the woods all around my house have been really... really quiet all spring long which is unusual. We always have 3 to 4 birds working the ridge above me this time of the year. I do know they are out there, but man they are tight lipped this season.

    Absolutely not, read the bill. A basic out of the box stock Ruger 10/22 with no modififactions isnt even grouped with the assualt weapons ban. They also already make 5 round clips for 10/22's

    FYI: The Ruger 10/22 will still be legal with the 10 round clips

    Do you realize now how many individuals will NOT seek voluntary mental health treatment because of the way the bill is written? Anyone who owns a firearm who might think they need some help from the shrink doctor will now think twice about getting it. You could go in to get some help for depression and or anxiety and at the same time be banned from owning any firearms by the way this new mental health law is written.

    Very very very long read BUT so far from I understand the only thing I see effecting all of us is a instant background scan on ammo purchases. And NO assualt rifles are not banned if you own one already. You will just have to register it. 10 round clips will be allowed to posses but cannot be fully loaded.

    I am pulling my hair out. Oh wait Im bald...ANYHOW for a weapon to be now considered an Assault weapon inside NY. does only have to meet one charateristic or have at least 2 ??? The bill explains both. I now take it a basic stock Semi auto Ruger 10/22 does not fall under the assault weapons ban.
