  1. yes-Tuff stuff...when it goes on sale for 29.99 2 1/2 gal I stock up! three years ago it was 19.99 2 1/2 gal
  2. when I bought my farm I didn't believe what the realtor/broker had to say about the deer on the property. I walked the property and made that decision on my own. I suggest anyone buying land will do the same. That area has potential to grow good bucks. Also, the deer in that area are big bodied.
  3. I use tractor supply. Just make sure its 41% gly
  4. I use lumenok. They work good.
  5. That area holds good deer and turkey. 2k-2500 an acre is what property is selling up there without the gas/mineral rights. Good luck Geno.
  6. This is the first year I planted Daikon....Will always include it in my plantings.
  7. Check out shadow hunter blind website. They sell window kits but u can make them.
  8. I have a buddy 10 min from my place and they don't touch his brassica but they destroyed mine from the start.
  9. Is this your first time planting brassica? Some plotters say it takes uptown three years before deer touch it. I never had that experience.
  10. For a living I'm a controller but habitat management is my passion. I also do construction on the side.
  11. I would love to see your property one day!
  12. Grow the sweat equity u put into your property is top notch!
  13. Virgin ground with a walk behind tiller will beat the heck out of you. If the area has no brush and just grasses or goldenrod, I would hit it with gly in spring and again in June. Work under and hit again three weeks later.
  14. What part of the state do you have people? One of the most successful habitat/food plot service company is deer essentials out of Maryland. The owner's name is Mali. For additional income he sells seed, equipment and trail cams. Give him a call and look at his model. If you have any questions, shoot me a pm. I started this process 6 years ago but the numbers didn't make sense.
  15. a big happy birthday Doc!
  16. So u only want suggestions on clearing wooded areas? Starting a food plot business is very tricky. Transportation of equipment, liability insurance, issues of crop failure etc. New ground verse already worked? What kind of plot? Annual or perennial? U doing maintenance? Fertilizer? Soil samples? Plotting can be expensive but there are ways to cut costs. I think each property is unique and price will change.
  17. I use biologic for my soil samples. Like grow stated. I would build up your organic matter and Ph.
  18. Welters is a good company. Ordering my clover from them today. Ladino, Alice and kopu to frost seed.
