  1. Here's the answer to the question in the OP....... https://barrett.net/firearms/fieldcraft/ I've never handled one and they don't configure left hand. If they did, I'd have at the very least fondled one and then possibly bought one. My wallet is the only happy one............
  2. I have some old magazines, all hunting related. One such “collection” is Traditional Bowhunter from the first 15 years or so. A few missing but not many. I keep thinking about selling them on eBay..... i also have a Bowhunter Magazine from 1975 or 1976 that is very cool. A bunch of other single issues of magazines that I kept for one reason or another.
  3. No........just get a decent scope (Leupold VX3 2.5x8) and learn to shoot. Anything out to 300 will be easy IF IF IF IF IF IF IF you can find a rest. A whitetail deer at 300 is a poke and I'd bet there are very few here that have ever killed one at that distance in NYS, I know I haven't. Oh I'm sure a few will chime in and tell you they have but don't get sucked into the LR game to hunt deer. Scope your rifle with quality glass in quality mounts, shoot that Hornady ammo and have fun.
  4. I found a stainless 5.5" Single Six convertible, circa 1984 at Wolcott Guns a couple weeks ago. They had a good price on it and were pleasant to deal with, all good with them. I shot it (with .22RF cylinder) just before the high winds came last Sunday. Although I own a 44 Special Ruger single action revolver, I haven't shot it much. The single six got 40 quick rounds down the pipe and it was fun and pretty accurate before I was hit with a rain squall and the winds.
  5. Man o man there's some good looking grub on here..............I think I had that same sandwich Larry at the Siesta Key Salty Dog. Excellent choice!
  6. I was at that Runnings Store 4-5 years ago the day before Opening Day of gun season, frantically looking for a new pair of quality pac boots. I passed on their offerings and only spent a short time in there so am looking forward to the new store in Lockport. Another option never hurts..........Johnson's, Tractor Supply and The Outdoor Store will have to sharpen their pencils and mop their floors.
  7. And bringing in the rear............Happy Birthday Crappyice! Glad I could make it........
  8. I have one (9mm) and really like it..........that there is a smoking deal.
  9. Booked for a fishing trip......
  10. Well, let's start putting dates up.......... June?
  11. I'd probably bring my wife....she's met a bunch of the forum members and likes most of them. I'd guess this will run 200 pages...........then won't happen.
  12. Could be.......we may never know. After seeing the group picture last night that maybe chef ate him before he got in?
  13. I typed then deleted, another "higher road" thing.
  14. LE That stands for Lake Effect; one wild ass weather component pretty unique to the Great Lakes when it comes to snow.
  15. On Bizzy's left up top is sodfather....
  16. Yea, looking good guys. Too bad Storm Cruiser didn’t come in, he’d have had a fine time. Hmmmm, maybe he IS there. We don’t know what he looks like........
