Forester/Logger recommendations
Lawdwaz replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Corey has done work for my buddy in Canadice a couple times, always been satisfied. Now that I think of it he logged my Uncle's place a few years ago, straight up the mountain from his own house. My friend has known his family for many years. Good people..... -
I had to Google the RNT, bummer for sure. Had to Google the Hds8 thingy too. Man I must be getting old..................

I don't recall if we've done this one before. What's a fairly big ticket item you have lost in the past? (keep it to a monetary item; no family members, fingers, toes legs etc. or anything) A number of years ago (maybe 10) I lost my wedding ring in our house, we searched high and low and it never reappeared. I obviously couldn't remember what I did with it but probably tossed it in the trash. I have a habit of grabbing numerous things in each hand and 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 4 go in the trash and the other doesn't. Usually...... The only other thing that could have possibly happened is our cat at the time, Nick might have slid it of the counter in the bathroom into the trash. Either way, it didn't and hasn't shown up. My wife felt bad and so did I of course so a year or so later we bought a new one for me. That would have been new bow money............. What did you loose????

I don’t know beans about that company. Looking forward to reviews and maybe a fondling at the SF Rod & Gun Club.

And who is on the far side of me????

I'm not familiar with the guts of your gun but I wouldn't be afraid to wipe down almost any part of it with a LIGHTLY oiled cloth. The only part I'd shy away from is the touch hole area, other than the threads. LIGHTLY Store in a dry place and call me in the morning..........oh wait, scratch that part.
-
Nice choice.....

Run a lightly oiled patch down the barrel now.......next time you shoot it, a few dry patches will get all the remaining oil out and you're ready to roll, Joel.
-
Ha, I bet you were a bit nervous. There's always next time............................................

We'll have some cans that are older but we don't eat much canned food at all. Tuna yes, occasional soup but I really don't like canned soup. Misc canned stuff for chili and we don't make that very often. 98% of our vegetables are fresh but once in a while, depending on the meal I like canned peas or or corn. At hunting camp each year I find some dillies......I don't remember what it was (could have been red cabbage?) but this past fall I found something with a 1986 expiration date. On the plus side, a few years ago I found some Crown Royal with a tax stamp dated 1957.

Yaaaaa, I ain’t buying it either.

batteries for trail cams question
Lawdwaz replied to goosifer's topic in Trail Camera Reviews and Info
I'd start with fresh Energizer batteries in next summer when you put them out. The 40% stuff goes in anything at home you don't care about or in the trash. (Browning service tech folks told me they preferred the Energizer over Duracell) -

You have to pretty hard up to wear a hunting coat with pink trim IMO........YMMV of course. -
I sure hope at some point you eastern NY'rs can kill a deer during this late season. We gotta wrap this thing up at some point.........
