My wife & I took a little hike this morning to a local park. Snowshoes were the mode of travel and it was fun and great exercise. Along the way we were right next to Ellicott Creek and we saw where the local beavers were working hard. I'm always intrigued by their work. No dam that I saw, just trees that being worked on. Just another amazing animal amongst us! I grabbed a couple quick pics with my phone of some smaller trees and unfortunately didn't snap a shot of a couple HUGE trees, probably 40" in diameter. I don't know if they'll ever get through them!?!?

Wife and I went snowshoeing around 11am or so this morning and it just started to spit freezing rain......then it snowed for a bit. We packed it in around 12:40 when it started to hurt our faces. We made a couple quick stops and when we got home the dog insisted we go for a walk. Reluctantly we headed out. It was nasty! Not much precipitation but what it was hurt like a SOB! Now it is just snow and looks like it is out of the NE.

10-4.......right near it. It is on Ellicott Creek, just a short 5 minute paddle from the canal. They have chili or roast beast, that's it. Plus booze and brews!!

GREAT pics, Doc. Where was the tree/rock picture taken? That is a great shot! I know of a couple trees in Arcade that I can't believe are (at least they were last spring!) still standing. They are so hollow and appear to be barely standing. I'll snap some pics this spring if I remember.
