Actually it lost more than it looks, it weighs 170gr on the nose right now. so it retained 62% (if my math is correct) I THINK but I'm not positive but that could be the first of those bullets that I've recovered out of 16-18 deer. Everything else has exited or been caught up in entrails I believe. They are a great shooting, hard hitting and well constructed bullet.

Pulled this from the hind end of a fawn I shot at the end of the season. The shot was 40-50 yards, quartering on. Hit the point of the shoulder and landed just under the hide. I forgot what it weighed after but before it was 275gr. I'll check it and update...... Parker Ballistic Extreme out of my NULA, 2200fpt at muzzle..........

Man, I was on North Forest near Klein today in the snow and saw a real stud of a buck. He was just beautiful, probably a 10pt. He had great G1's, good spread, mass and charisma. I turned around two times to watch him, each time I was interrupted by non-hunters just not getting it..............The snow was falling and wind whipping around as he and two antler-less deer fed along the creek. Sure does lift your spirits when you spot a buck of his class.

Mittens are the only way to fly for me. I use deerskin choppers I had made 25 years ago. They aren't the warmest but much better than any gloves I have. I'm down to my last two pairs of them, after that I'm moving to Florida.????

Just for kicks, I measured the ID of my Lapua brass: new, untouched-.237" once fired (not resized).242" I don't have any numbers on sized brass yet as this .243 was a new arrival late in the summer and load work didn't take too long before I hit on a winner. Virgin hulls did the killing..................................

What'd the Doc tell you as far as taking it easy? I had mine probably 15 years ago and was told be cool for a couple/three days. I didn't and paid a heavy price......................

Who said anything about a hard jam? Plenty of guys will touch or "kiss" the lands and it isn't a problem if you know what you're doing.
