I know of at least one member who does, and it is spectacular. I was gifted 6 of the smaller bottles and we are down to three left............YIKES!! There is nothing better. Yes, I can slum the imitation crap in a pinch but I sure do enjoy the real deal. On a somewhat related note, I have a spot that I hunt spring gobblers in Arcade that is thick with sap lines. What a PIA hunting around them..................................................

I've never been to NYC. Closest I've been in Kingston/Lake Katrine and that was 25 years ago.

You going to the game? Anybody here going??

Here is (hopefully it works) the YouTube clip. It is long but very well done........ Let me know what you think. Edit to add, I mentioned this in the OP.

Sounds like a fishing camp?
-
Do you think crossbows will (if passed) be included in it ?
-
The Gun Center up the street from me has one for display purposes ie; handling/fondling etc. I think they are taking orders, I don't know when they expect them. I'd think Beikirch's should have one?? If not, come on in and I'll buy the coffee.......................................

Ha! I love your dry sense of humor Elmo. You'd be a hoot in camp.........................................................................

Is this weather effecting your job? If so, how?

Other than the tail it looks like a dog! The hair looks short and the body muscular........??????

I found 33' was the length that worked for me. Remember, the rope has to have a loop in it at the top end, then the rope has to go around the trunk once (on a smaller diameter tree I'll wrap it around the tree twice, why not?) then drop down and be tied at waist height (or thereabouts). You need it fairly tight or when you're climbing up the prussic is a PIA. I know you didn't ask but there you go anyways...... PS....100' rope/line makes three safety lines. Duhhh!

I handled one on Saturday at the Gun Center and was impressed. 14.36oz, loaded! I'll be reading more on them and doing some pondering. A friend said there was a good You Tube video but I haven't looked for it yet. Here is Glock's ad slick............. http://us.glock.com/products/model/g42

Good. Don't confuse it with crimping........................................

That dirty little mutha' .308 sure spawned some beauties.

Well put and good goals for hunting loads. I do turn necks for two guns, my 223ai with a tight neck chambering job and my 7mm-08 that I use necked down 308 Lapua brass. (Lapua brass in the 223ai also) I use the Lapua 243 brass in my 243 also but don't turn necks for it. I enjoyed turning the necks for those guns, it was something that interested me at the time and I got decent results for both guns but DON'T recommend it............... When you REALLY want to get frustrated, run your hot, flashy new reloads across a concentricity gauge. That'll make your head spin and force you to buy all kinds of neat things......................................

Ya.......Happy Birthday Day!!
-
When you say "crimp" you're referring to necking down the case neck, not really crimping the case are you?
-
Did you get neck and FL dies with your set? I only do FL resizing and all my friends are the same. My bench rest (big time) friend also is FL only. I say that but my dies are set to JUST barely bump the shoulder back. I'm not at all familiar with Lee stuff some can't add anything to your plight. Are you (shawn) using mixed brass or is it all from the same manufacturer, same amount of firings etc. as that can only confuse things. How good is your micrometer? (another place you don't need to skimp!) Measuring correctly is an art. I can mic the same case 5 times and get 6 freaking numbers................... Reloading can get awfully complicated or be simple as heck.............KEEP IT SIMPLE!!

What happened with the dud?

There's a couple similar threads here if you dig...................if not, hunt down shawnhu.

I got a chance to meet Steve Piatt, editor of the NY Outdoor News. He was manning the booth for the newspaper at the LOTSA outdoor show in Niagara Falls today. We chatted for a couple minutes before the mayor of Niagara Falls, Paul Dyster muscled his way in. No Secret Service though, just him & his father. I mentioned to Mr. Piatt that he must have had a long trip from the north country to Niagara Falls but he said no, he had moved to the southern tier, Waverly maybe? He said it was much better for his traveling around the state for work. Good deal. I told him to stop in here and say hello. He seemed like a pretty cool guy............ The rest of the show was OK, saw a bunch of guys I know and had a few laughs.
