My Dr made me (us ) shave but it wasn't adequate. He said WTH, and pulled out the straight razor. I was a bit concerned to say the least as he whipped that thing around.....................I still shudder at the thought.
-
Good luck man, it's a piece of cake. BUT, BUT.....follow their directions to the T. You'll probably feel good late Saturday or Sunday but be cool. DO NOT over do it. I could tell you my own personal story but I would be axed from here.............. Who did the shavin'? LOL (Don't let the Dr shave ya, he uses a straight razor and one slip.............pffff) I tried to get the nurses to finish up the shaving part but they were way to smart for THAT ploy...................................... Seriously, good luck.

Just no stick & ball stuff or swim trunks or bikes or ski stuff or candy bars or sleds? I wonder if our area is getting one?

You may not learn much from this but it's chocked full of good stuff................................ http://www.6mmbr.com/243win.html

Yea, I know I should. I just kind of figured a boundary would be right smack down the middle but nooooo, the Canadians get way more of the river. (They're probably pissed we got Strawberry, Motorboat and Navy Islands though!). They got the better falls and nicer bars..........????
-
Ha! I just was going back through some old fishing threads and found this. That is what I did. My Iphone 5 does show the boundaries although I don't like them. LOL, the damned Canadian's got a WAY better deal out of it than we did. That line on the west side of Strawberry Island is close! Might as well lock me up now...............................

Where did you move to?

All Right!! Glad you guys enjoyed it. It is easy to prepare, easy to adjust to YOUR tastes, easy to make ahead and pretty darn tasty. I just had a another good one tonight, a chicken bruschetta dish that was as easy as the above and darn tasty. I'll post that up later........................

My 223ai was at the upper end and appeared fine. One day I was hunting chucks and had the gun and ammo sitting in the very hot sun on a scorching day. I had my buddy lined up to take the next shot and he did..........killing the chuck but also getting some hot gas in his face. The extreme heat and max loads were to much. The primer was completely obliterated in the case head. When I tried to lift the bolt, it wouldn't budge, We finished the night off with the 22-250. When I got home I gave the bolt a couple wraps and up it came. Pulled it back and saw that the case was stuck in the bolt face. I tapped the stuck case on the side of my bench and out it came, along with a small piece of the bolt face. A few calls the next day answered plenty of questions and I was told that if the extractor was OK, I shouldn't worry about the missing chunk-o-bolt. Needless to say I pulled the remaining bullets and powder, recharged them with a half a grain LESS powder. All is good in Woodchuckville now. Lessons learned and nobody got hurt TOO bad.......

I like to know the velocity of my loads when working with a new gun or bullet/powder. Once I know I've got good velocity with safe pressure, then I can tweak things safely. The published velocities that you see buy the powder manufacturers are from their proof guns and the barrels on them are usually longer than any barrel I'll ever use. Once I have the velocity I can run a drop chart for that gun's turrets. I can't guarantee I'm going to hit a woodchuck at 400yds+ but I'll scare the crap out of him............. Knowing beats guessing every time.......... Another use for a chronograph is for archery although a really pisses your friends off when they see how slow their (and my) bows really are!!
-
I am aware of the POI change and that isn't a deal breaker for me. When I'm checking for velocity I could let the group size or location of impact suffer. I've only shot my CED screens once.................grin. Just a little chip out of one side!! I was concentrating on a group and the slight puff of wind moved the arm holding the screens just a smidgen.

This is an interesting alternative to a normal optical sensor chronograph............................... http://www.magnetospeed.com/ I have a CED M2 and if the lighting isn't perfect it'll miss a shot or four. I have read where the Magnetospeed V1 never misses a reading and that can save a lot of frustration if you're looking to get the FPS and only have 3 loaded rounds at a given powder charge. A missed reading or two can make for a aggravating day. Especially if you have to travel any distance to the range. My CED M2 might go down the road.................................................
-
If you change the priming component, I would recommend going back to the starting load for a given powder/bullet combo as you COULD see an increase in pressure. Be careful.......once again, pick one primer and don't sweat the rest, for now. Do you have access to a chronograph? That and bolt lift tension & spent primers will help to reveal pressure problems. I settled on CCI primers a long time ago. I even shot their BR primers for a while but figured that was a waste of money in my case.

LOL, that's all? The funny thing is you're looking to ME for web help?

I forgot to say that I use a ton of garlic in this and darn near everything I do with venison. In this recipe I put a couple/three fork fulls over the raw meat, after adding it to the casserole dish.

They have these new inventions, they call them snowmobiles. Look into one of them..................................
