    it's not illegal but you can't load more than 7 rounds. Go the NY SAFE Act sight and they list acceptable guns.

    Right, Saturday morning I come out to the woods, get to my truck... 30 yards from my truck is a nice Tom in full strut with 4 hens.... go figure.

    Most of the shortages relate to pistol ammo. I don't know what to believe. But isn't it hard to believe that a few hoarders could cause such an issue? The gun shops around me are telling me they just can't get inventory. I don't think larger retailers (Dick's Gander etc.) are getting enough to matter, maybe a few boxes of mixed calibers. Also, keep in mind everyone I've shopped at has a limit to how much you can purchase. It's just hard to believe either way.....

    There are 4-5 local gun shops in the Albany area in addition there are 3 Dick's and 3 Wall-marts. Inventory in NOT getting to the stores so how are people hoarding? And what is on the shelf is ridiculously priced!

    That's what I thought, but unsure right now. I live in Albany county, hunt all over, say at least 5 different counties.

    For whatever reason, every Judge has refused to get involved so far. I would suggest they are waiting on Obama. Obvious right!

    I don't think anything (of volume) is getting into the stores. Simplpy put they aren't shipping anything and what they do ship lasts a split second.....

    It would be easier to believe we are at fault if it were just NY State. However this is National Epidemic in store retail and online!!! I just can't believe that this hasn't been intentionally created.

    I don't generally subscribe to conspsearacy theories either. But whatever reason this makes more sence to me that the general public hoarding ammo. Either way its pretty scarey here in Albany.

    My local dealer has had to limit sales to one box per customer per day. Not one box of X and X caliber either....One box period!

    NYSAFE act has effected the nation! How is it that we can't buy a .22 round anywhere? The shelves are empty especially handgun ammo.
