I finally got my wife to shoot my 9mm today. Next up her pistol permit and a full time pistol for her to carry. If they ever try looting the country they are in trouble!!

So my wife and i were tooling around the grocery store and i look at a pile of beyond meats burgers. Now I cant wrap my head around eating something like this. Veggies dont turn into meat and you cant tell me it’s anything close to organic. Meat is meat!? Well my wife wanted to try it, not wanting to start a fight i keep my mouth shut. She decided she wanted her burger for lunch. I opened up the package and it don't look good at all, it smells like freaking cat food, needless to say she wasn’t impressed with it. Who knew?!!!

Yep, ill keep this going with updates till its done. Tomorrow i need to finish up the last part of the food plot and Sunday get the holes ready. This is much lighter than my original plan so im told not to worry to much about the post hole depth. So im hoping 12ft!

Well I caved in, neither my dad nor brother wanted to help especially the issue of hitting solid rock two ft down and i have limited building skills, but all is well as this is going in its place. Now my dad will have something cozy to hunt out of plus my now 12 yr olds gonna have a spot too!!

Well im just about done, yesterday we put down 1500 lb of lime then went to work on a smaller spot. This am we got the disc mounted to the tractor and got disking. We ended up disking both directions of the plot then spread the seed and then a lite disc over that followed by then driving the 4wheeler over it to compact and flatten the area. Were 3/4 done, the one end was still wet so were gonna hit that this coming weekend. We were about most the way thru the first round of discing when a fawn jumped up right in front of the tractor and let out a long bbbaaaaahhhhhhhhh. Luckily it moved and i had walked most of the plot while my dad was disking, picking up rocks and sticks, so after that i walked the rest to make sure nothing else was in it and i found mu first plot shed.

Clover does require a decent ph, rye will freaking grow on anything and super low maintenance.

Wouldnt ya know i saw a weasel yesterday while sitting around the campfire. Little guy harvested a mouse and emerged from some logs near the fire. After some back and forth hiding from him he finally decided to go for and headed out to his next location with the mouse in jaws.

Hope not. Im hoping he got the point when i put a posted sign at the end of the lane way. Id love to find a way to keep people out of there. Its a nice quiet spot i like keeping quiet!!

Doubling down?? Nice Larry!! My son turned 12 today and had hoped to take him hunting and get him a bird (part of the reason i havent hunted much) but sadly he didn’t want to, said he just wants to hunt deer.

All spot on, I'm hoping summer/winter. If it doesn’t make it I'm planning on overseeding late july early aug anyways similar to how g woods does it. Im hoping they will mature as id love to see pods while I'm hunting mid December!! Ill keep posting the progress here so others have an idea how it pans out!

Lots of pods and they will continue to grow while browsed. It very well may not work but if i never try it, it’s always gonna be in my mind. My goals ate for them to utilize the plot as many months as possible!

Well I've always wanted a food plot full of eagle soybeans but never had the plot to do it. Now that I have the plot i just ordered a couple bags!! Im so excited to try them even though im worried about over browsing because the plots isnt the biggest but ya never know unless you try and ill over seeding it with a fall blend anyway!! Anyone plant eagle beans before?
