  1. I wish. Looking out the window at all those mountains all I could think about was a sweet mountain hunt, but unfortunately will be stuck in conference rooms... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I got one of those newspaper ad things jammed in mine once. Fn horrendous experience and you better believe those fxkers never delivered again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I know and I’m not trying to judge at all, but those are risks we take with archery in snow and rain. It’s not all about just hunter comfort. Again not trying to be judgy. Just advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just landed in Phoenix for the next 2 days. It’s 81 and sunny. Stay warm guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’d grid search. In hindsight I think you waited too long knowing the snow was coming (same applies to rain). In different conditions waiting would have been fine. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Any decent covering for me. I find that in the stand the white is also helpful with the skyline, similar to vertigo mentioned above. When there’s snow on the ground I feel like a big turd in brown camo sticking out in a tree lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Freshly washed and ready for gun season Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. i honestly hope they pass a law to let anyone with an injury/disability and over a certain age hunt all season long with a crossbow.
  9. i like to mix it up. a good morning sleep in is needed, but I have had better luck in the mornings. An evening hunt could mean night time tracking. And a morning hunt might mean you cant make it in time. I'm sure they're not that flexible though. Depending on how open they are to taking the whole day off if you get early success, i'd choose mornings. But if not, safest bet is evenings.
  10. always best to approach conflict with a positive friendly attitude at first. You don't want a simple misunderstanding to create a much worse issue with regards to harassment, recovery rights etc. However if he's not open to the friendly have a chat approach he should be informed that he CANNOT shoot onto your property.
  11. Pretty good news for raptors. Don't see anything that would affect the hunting seasons http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/118594.html
  12. my opinion after owning it and hunters creek. They say waterproof but mine leaked right through. And yeah it's light, so I didn't feel it was super warm either. Maybe junk was too strong a word. to each his own, just my opinion.
  13. Archery is in the books unless I hunt Friday night and I dont think I will. I leave for Tempe AZ tomorrow for work and return at midnight Thursday. Tough season, although I did pass a spike and a 3... so. Anyhow, saw 3 nice shooter bucks within 60 yards out of about 15 or so sits. Just never had lady luck on my side this year and they never came within range. Poor some out for Belo and wish him a better gun season.
  14. what I meant was, I wouldn't continue to hunt them after the first. I would never let the meat go to waste on the first... if there ever is one.
  15. that stuff is junk. hunters creek from midway is great stuff at a good price. Get the gloves too, they're great. I own bibs, parka and gloves.
  16. I took this morning off to sit one last time. morning 4 in a row and despite getting to bed at a decent time and sleeping well, i just couldn't do it. It wasn't laziness, it's just that I didn't have the motivation. I've had a good last week for sightings, but this is supposed to be enjoyable and felt too much like work. I'm at peace with my decision and hope for a better gun season for the freezer.
  17. This was yesterday. Pretty cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. That happened to me last year. This year I checked first haha. Live and learn Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hope he’s a good guy and doesn’t suffer an unfortunate hunting accident [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
