  1. he's buying instant love from the neighbors though
  2. I'm a member of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers. A great group whose mission it is to protect and advocate for public lands. I know we have some members who hunt Letchworth and also those who might enjoy a nice day giving back to the community. So I'm sharing this event with all of you. I was going to go with the kids, but t-ball conflicts on this day. Letchworth Park Cleanup Join BHA for a trail clean up event at Letchworth State Park June 15 at 9AM. We will be cleaning up the trail and performing trail maintenance on the loop number 15. This is in the 'hunting allowed' section of the park that is regulated based on a permit system. Volunteers will meet and park at Maplewood lodge/ trailhead 17. Important Notes: There is an entry fee at the park. To avoid having to pay the fee, volunteers must email [email protected] by June 8 to get a fee waiver. All volunteers must fill out a BHA volunteer form. These will be provided at the event. Suggested attire for the event is long pants, hard soled shoes, long sleeve shirt. Bring pruning shears, nippers, or hand trimmers if you can. Water for breaks and insect repellent are also be highly suggested. When the work is done, please attend the Third Annual Fare & Ware Festival hosted by GVCA from 11-6 at the park. Festival is free to attend and features products from local farmers, chefs, winemakers, brewers and artists. There will also be live music and demonstrations. See you there! WHEN June 15, 2019 at 9am - 12pm
  3. technically this has always been a law that you were supposed to police yourself on during tax return time. They've just come up with a better way to police it. sucks.
  4. man when those winds blew last week. my pool skimmer filled in minutes. what a mess.
  5. where is this navada you speak of? shucks, actual facts and evidence. funny how that works isn't it? in the case where the guy screaming about spanish speaking immigrants who don't speak english, I do find it important to point out that the guy ranting about it covers his face, wont get out of his car to meet members and can barely string together a coherent sentence.
  6. I do not like that you went to a city, drove around and made generalizations about people that you don't know anything about simply because they looked and spoke a certain way. You wouldn't even get out of your car in a parking lot at a bar in NY. This speaks volumes about your ignorance. I feel it's imperative we control our boarders. But mostly because I feel strongly about enforcing our laws and because generally speaking, illegal immigrants do not pay into all systems that they benefit from. While it's true that they do pay into some systems that they do not benefit from like social security. Latinos are some of the hardest working most caring people you will ever meet. They are generally deeply catholic and extremely family oriented. These are values most of us all hold dear. So, if you took the time to look at other posts I've made on this subject you'd know I'm pro-wall and pro enforcement, but my reasons I suspect are different than yours. I don't know how else to say it any clearer. PS they also make amazing food
  7. I’m not condoning illegal immigration, my track record on this subject is clear. And I’m not a liberal You’re still missing my point. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. generations of latinos have been legally living in socal for decades. The same amount of time that us irish, italians, polish have been legally living in NY. The guy literally comments about white homeless people as if they're no big deal, then complains about the latinos. You can be anti-illegal immigration like myself and not be so quick to judge what you see with your eyes. If you don't see the issue there, you're part of the problem.
  9. this exactly. niche vehicles can take a minute if you're not desperate, but the right buyer will be a good one. knows what they want and whats fair and isn't going to dick around with you. I suspect my pontiac g8 will be much the same when the day comes.
  10. sitting in my parents flood prone / moisture rich basement no less. Imperial for the win haha.
  11. in this particular case this is an old christmas tree farm planted by the boyscouts probably 40 or 50 years ago. It's the coolest thing to see. All the lower sections are dead so you can walk through a lot of it pretty easily, but it's super quiet with the needles on the floor. It's also super spooky at dawn and dusk haha.
  12. As usual I can't even comprehend what you just wrote. So i'll bow out now. good day sir.
  13. hmm that's interesting to hear. we have a mix of old growth, heavy dense older pines and new brush so thick you can barely walk it. There a few stands where the sun just kind of peaks through and this is one of those spots. Like I said, it was low effort, so i'm ok with whatever. We did fertilizer it last fall when i did my fall plot and i do believe these are real ideal growing conditions (confirmed by how often we're all mowing our lawns). I do have a soil ph probe I could use to check it.
  14. the spring has been great for my little experiment. I'm happy that the 7 year old opened bag of clover I found and just tossed around at the end of March is actually taking off pretty well. Who knows if it'll survive and not get mowed down, but my only goal is to just stop the deer or maybe get them to take a particular run over another. For basically no work, i'm fine either way.
  15. on a somewhat related note, there was a headline on the usa today app this morning. Did silencer lead to more death in VA Beach shooting? remember that's the headline then right in the opening paragraph, several experts and current or former fbi agents explain why the suppressor did not cause more death. But you know... the headline.
  16. when i was in Mississippi i bought this assist open knife. It's not this scary badguy movie automatic knife, but does only require 1 finger to "assist it to open", unlike a typical folding knife. It's great for the pocket and pulling out for a quick job. Unsure of it's legality in NY and assuming, that because it's helpful it is indeed illegal, i of course left it there. As well as the tasers my wife had to protect herself. God forbid.
  17. you're right. anyone who judges another based on the color of their skin is a piece of shit in my book.
  18. same, first time you're like "wtf is that?"
  19. My argument is not that there isn’t a big issue with illegal immigration, I’ve been pretty clear on that. I think it’s pretty obvious what my issue is with his post. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
