you were fine before that last part. I have been open and honest that I have dispute with elderly and handicapped. Woman and children can shoot a bow like the rest of us. But yes, archery is a peaceful season generally without as many clowns. Xbow brings the gun only hunter into the archery woods.

yes the nfl is one we've talked about already. Another is all i'm asking for. Where a players on the field politics turned you away from a sport. And yes, well aware of the NBA rule. Times were simpler back in 96 haha. -

there was a survey that showed 30% of americans would give up their voting rights for a 10% pay increase. It's not so much fame, as it is fortune and the importance we place on "things". -

yeah I guess my point is, that most woman don't seem to be as crazy violent as men. Crazy? sure. But to the level of violence that we see with mass shootings, typically no. However, with middle eastern suicide bombers not being specific to any gender and now 2 woman mass shooters who may or may not have been motivated by religion... I do think the data point is still worth noting and considering as we try and unravel the physiological and cultural reasons people are doing these things... which didn't happen nearly as often even 20 years ago. I know most of us don't believe the gun is the problem so we have to peel back the onion on our culture. -
i'm sure you can find road kill statistics somewhere. This is a hunting harvest chart. To provide numbers of legal hunters with tags, I see why you might want to see the numbers and compare, but this isn't the place for it. Easy enough to make the graphic though if you can find the data.

yeah but that's the whole crux of my argument. If you go looking for it and tune into the extra "non-sport" content you might see it. If you don't want to see that, then just watch the game. Then you can't bitch that the product is somehow no ruined by what happens off the court. I disagree. But, if true that makes it ok? teen suicide? naked on a bathroom floor? -
I've been on this site for a long time. I've been in just about every crossbow argument thread and I've never once heard that we fear the season will be shortened because crossbow hunters will kill too many deer. the reasons why we are against it? Well, I don't have the energy this morning to rehash them all. But trust that they've been covered eleventy billion times.

grampy, that's sort of a ball of wax right there. Arguments could be made that it may have been wounded with a bow and not a crossbow. That a novice crossbow hunter could have over-estimated the abilities and wounded. I'm not sure those kinds of statements can ever be made. We have no idea how a deer may have reacted to a clunk made by hitting your crossbow limb or drawing a compound if we are comparing the 2 weapons.

typically I shy from lumping folks into groups, but it is interesting the only 2 female "mass shooters" were this lady and the wife of the couple in California. both middle eastern... -

if it's true that this was a vegan upset about censorship and loss of revenue... i mean... wow. In liberal california with some of the strictest gun control laws in the country? First Maryland and now this? Sort of puts our vegan bashing thread into perspective doesn't it? My guess on the spin will be. See if she had an AR, all those people and more would have died. And we would all point out VT and the circle of arguing and bickering would continue. -

yeah like when Beckham was fined for his 9/11 cleats or Deangelo Williams for wanting to support breast cancer awareness? I'm pretty die hard and I've never watched an NBA warm up and I can't recall ever seeing an NFL player's eye black with his helmet on. And I addressed the nfl. -
I'm a pretty staunch anti-crossbow guy, and I've never heard that argument once. It would be interesting to know what portion of the archery deer were taken during the open xbow season. I know mine was. Those 2 weeks are some of the best weeks in the woods. Also some hunters may lower their standards knowing that time is running short. Not trying to make any argument, just curious how those numbers and success rates factor into the rut activity. I can't remember the stat but I want to say it's something high like 80% or up of all gun kills are opening weekend.

i don't think you're connecting very well with my point, so I'll try to express it more succinctly. 1. Lebron plays basketball (that's the sport) 2. During the sport that he plays he doesn't talk about or send any sort of political messaging. 3. He uses his fame and status on social media to promote his views. You don't need to be on social media to watch basketball. Therefore, him being political does nothing to influence your level of enjoyment when watching the actual game of basketball that he plays. You may not even know it exists unless you go looking for it. 3b. We are promoting our views right now. Why can you can I discuss our views and lebron can't? Is he not human too? 4. If a tweet from anyone influences how you think, you're a sheep. 5. I don't give a flock about what celebs and athletes think so I dont follow them on twitter or instagram. I don't watch the grammys or oscars. I tuned in less to football games, I don't watch fox news or don lemon. I try and fact check the stuff I do see, then i formulate my own opinion. It's really that easy. I still enjoy movies, tv and sports without caring or knowing what the actors view on trump or the war in iraq is. It's really great! -
i know we're kinda in the weeds on this, but if it's self defense you wouldn't be convicted. I will restate, that I understand this is a slippery slope and I understand the concern. I just think some of us make bad choices and don't want to deal with the consequences. We should be all about taking guns from the bad. It's the bad guys that ruin the fun for the rest of us. Keep your head down and nose clean and you have a good chance of not ending up in a situation where your guns are in jeopardy. We all know what King Andy's agenda is. What I find confusing is the few stories members have brought forward prior to this law. Like it's been in place anyhow? Shit guys, if your girl is crazy at least hide a gun or 2.
-
the way I read this "new law" it was specific to domestic violence.
-
did he threaten her in said text? Has he hired a lawyer to get his guns back? Has his right to buy new guns been revoked?
-
men not convicted of crimes have their guns taken. then after due process finds them innocent their guns are not returned?
-
still hearsay. well if you're with some psycho bitch, you're paying anyhow. Why did the 1 not get his guns back?

you don't hear athletes give you their political opinion when you watch sports. Laura's comment was regarding an instragram post that Lebron made. Instagram or course having nothing to do with the sport and entirely voluntary for you to follow anyone on. You can watch every NBA game and would never know a player's political beliefs. If you want to watch post game pressers and follow social media and awards shows, then yeah maybe. But that's not the sport now is it? -
and did all 3 never get them back?
-
show me one bit of proof supporting this claim. Where an innocent man lost all his guns after one 911 call. Hell our government isn't following up on school shooters lol.
