  1. Hey, your'e still young and in training don't worry. I'm 33 and made some mistakes along the way (and still do) trust me, plus I have been hunting since I was of legal age to.
  2. That doesn't surprise me. It is our resposibility to shoot AND recover game, not shoot and say oh well.
  3. I'm out of likes for the day so just consider the last few post's liked.
  4. Allow me to say some kind words of encouragement.... hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha You blew it!!! Joking aside, glad it didn't hurt you somehow.
  5. Wow Larry that is so strong wind! It blew my umbrella inside out last night while walking with the kiddies, rain and wind was not enough to stop thme from collecting my candy, err I mean their candy.
  6. I actualy agree with parts of what you said, imagine that.
  7. Ya you have me all figured out, I stink at bow hunting and haven't killed any ever. How did shooting one in the rain work out for ants? Not so good huh. Even it's a found deer the meat is no longer good from sitting out in warm temps.
  8. Why did you shoot in the pouring rain? Bad choice man.
  9. $800 seems a wee bit high for a A300, I handled an A400 not the 300. My mistake. I would consider that a mid to low priced Semi honestly nowadays. Prices are crazy for shotguns.
  10. Good job bro. I busted that bro out just cause its a special occasion. Now, was this the one you hit with the truck and you just went back and put an arrow in it? lol
  11. Pics or it didnt happen
  12. Good that there is no damage, I bumped into one last year and was lucky to not have any damage. I did have to throw my undies out and explain to the kids why I swore.
  13. Oh man I hope I put the dishes away, don't want to leave a mess behind.
  14. You should have held out for a mature deer Geno, I'm dissapointed in you.
  15. That is the exact MOA the author listed for a gun such as yours (and mine), for some reason I was falling into the trap thinking I need to have small MOA at 200 and smaller at 100. Sure my gun and I are capable of sub MOA at 100, but in the real world hunting scenarios it just doesn't matter. It kind of releaved some pressure I put on myself so to speak, but I do enjoy the capability to put a tiny group down range and look forward to more shooting at 200 for fine tuning and hopefully beyond at some point. My range only goes to 200. Now if I could just find a Ammo sponsor so I could shoot more.......
  16. So if guys don't agree they should just say ok?
  17. No I doubt guys that are against AR really care if they get a buck, I know I don't.
  18. Would you give a backhanded remark like that with your compliment? I will never understand why a seasoned hunter will be fine shooting a spike but then decide other new hunters shouldn't be allowed the same choice. I know you are for hunters choice.
  19. How about we start a buck permit system to better manage the herd? Then get rid of AR's and concentrate on managing the herd for real.
  20. So I have been shooting my rifles a bit more each year for fun and practice and I started to wonder what really is considered acceptable accuracy? I have been playing with my 7mm at 200 and was curious so I looked on the net and found this article from Chuck Hawks. He basically explains what is acceptable hunting accuracy for different ranges and chamberings. Turns out I do better than I thought and should be happy with my skill at 200 so yea for me. http://www.chuckhawks.com/practical_accuracy.htm What do some of you rifle loons say?
  21. I recently handled one, felt good, looked good. But the price tag had me less excited. Is it going to be that much different or better than another brand? I said the same about the A-5 but I still want one lol.
  22. If so many are so gunho for letting deer "mature" then why are there still so many young bucks taken? Maybe because they are full of crap perhaps? 2.5 is still not mature nor all that impressive either, and yet guys in this thread even that talk the talk have no problem killing them. If AR supporters would just admit that killing a 2.5 yr old buck is all that matters I might be more accepting than when I hear the same line of balanced herd ect ect. It is and will forever be a social issue.
  23. It was shot in Mayfield NY, NZ.
  24. Yes it's new this year, same in 4J, you can scan a filled out tag and email it in. Easy as can be and fast, I got a new tag in one day through the mail.
