Says the guy who shoots the first thing that comes in last year because he "didn't have time". Some of you guys sure do love the magazines and TV shows though. Sometimes having the best hunting grounds will make you look like an allstar but you still might sound like a D-bag.

Thats where I am as of now, and I am fine with it and in fact I relish it. Any way, my advice, don't over think things, they are deer. They will eat, sleep, evade predators, breed and repeat next near.

Right and yet there is no official record of ANY of these heavy deer. Not impossible but not likely either.

Guys I strongly encourage you to read the regs book that is available each year both in print and online. It ain't brain surgery but is confusing for sure.

You can also use a Regular season buck tag for a doe in the late bow/ml season.

Indeed, but, do a search for 300lb Whitetail anywhere and see how rare it is. That is state record weight material.

Tough to judge in that one pic but I would put it 175-200 tops. Most guys that don't weigh their deer way over estimate weights.

You would hard pressed to find 300lb deer taken any where, very few come from Maine.

Good luck out there, going to be a little warm for my taste. My wife was out Wednesday while I worked and my dog pointed 2 woodcock and busted a grouse, not bad for a Pheasant release site, but then again they didn't find any Pheasant either. lol Keep us posted. -

To accelerate to process you should tie it to your roof and ride around town at high speeds, and we will need pics of that too.

Maybe you can give the deer an icy stare with that mean mugging look of yours and scare em to death..haha Nice bow.

Its too hot is one the best excuses out there, as if deer don't move ALL summer long. lol I went out special this year when I saw the forcast and bought light weight camo, I was super comfy Tuesday.

Wife drew back twice on a buck yesterday AM but couldn't get a shot and then wasn't sure so did the right thing and let down. She also had a lil one come in but passed on it as did my pop's. Fun morning and the best part was I was close enough to watch my wife and the deer. Now I have to wait for the weekend to go again.
