Not in all bow only areas, such as 4j, the regular season tag is not good until regular season opens. I don't know about the other bow only areas as I don't hunt them.

Oh it has happened before on here, the infamous "my slammer" thread where a guy shot a spike and then later on took a big buck and couldn't help but brag about it. Classic thread. Lol

Ahhh. He shot the first on last years tag in the early NZ season 9/27-9/30. Some unused tags carry over to the next early season in the NZ but no doe permits.

Just remember, the public majority wanted Obamacare, what a majority wants is NOT always the best answer. I don't want my fellow hunters deciding reg's based on opinion's one way or the other. I would rather the state manage things like they are paid to do. I do agree a simple one question deal would make sense though.

4S for me, ok doe sightings but not as good as other years. Lots of activity at night on the cam with many small bucks daily and a couple of decent ones too. Unfortunately a neighboring hunter has taken to driving around the field next to us and that has things buggered up a bit.

Speaking of selling stuff for extra money, anyone want to buy a camper? lol

Actualy not every where in the state you can shoot a doe and not every where has Wegamns..and farm deer do not tatse the same as wild deer..actualy.

1 You can't buy venison in the grocery store so how can you make that comparison. 2 There is no catch and release in hunting, also can't make a comparison there. 3 I agree This is a general statement: Nothing has changed on this AR issue, it is still a social issue, it still doesn't change things that dramitcally to make a difference one way or the other. It increases the number of 2yr olds that are killed which, in my book, are not that much more impressive than a 1yr old. The fact that DEC has come out a said basicaly, "We will do what the hunters want and not what is best for us" is what is the worst part to me. Maybe next time hunters will want to increase bag limits, leagalize night hunting or what ever else we could dream up. If we all agree then its a good idea right? Even if it is not a decision based on any thing other than opinion.

So you know what "spot" I'm in? I'm mearly pointing out that there most likely wasn't a whole lot of money to be made on a used Parker (I own one), in the long run a little extra hard work on the side would have been more beneficial.

I would have sold everything else before the bow went personaly, probaly even would have raked leaves for cash before selling my bow in the middle of the season. Thats just me though.

Can you son pull 36+ pounds? (State minimum) Mine is 9 and there is no way he could pull that weight. Small game sure, and as Steve said supervised gun hunting are ok in my book.

What a blast it is hunting this time of year, my wife went this morning and flushed 8 and I went after work and put up 10 Woodcock and 2 Pheasant. I wouldn't have found a single one with out my dog. He pointed 9 out of the 12 I flushed. 2 Woodcock and one Pheasant for today. All public land. I blew one easy shot and the rest were the birds fault, not mine. Lol

I can tell beyond a shadow of a doubt its a 6.4576 year old buck, on the down slope after an injury sustained while fighting a larger buck two years ago today. Weighs between 162 and 163.61 pounds dressed, likes clover but will eat corn. He likes the color burnt orange and loves the smell of fresh baked apple pie. How did I do?

Why the hate you ask? Its simple and you will get the same type response when asking about Scent eliminator spray, scents, type of arrows, broadheads ect ect ect. Because if one guy uses one type of what ever, he thinks everyone should do the same even if it doesn't matter one way or another. Does it make sense? Heck no, its just the way it is.

Even harder when the truck is in reverse and the deer is running away. A backwards Texas heart shot is no easy feat. Backwards Texas, would that be Alabama or Tennessee? Guys I'm out of TP, start using your socks.
