  1. And Trad do not compete with LB, or Hunter, Master Hunter, PNF, MBO, MBR, or any of the other classes None are considered as equals for competitions - thats why they have classes. And those in the IBO crossbow class would choose not to compete against the compound class they share a range with as they would get their butt handed to them. Using the OP's twisted trolling logic, this would suggest that crossbows are inferior to the compounds then.
  2. Never been to a major IBO tourney have you? You know - International BOWhunting Org.
  3. Do not use the Bore Butter they suggest in the video. It is a rust inhibitor, not a preventative. And traps any residual moisture. Better than noting but just barely. Use a quality protector that you would use on any of your other rifles. Sheath is a good one.
  4. Ouch!! That is a visual that will take take to delete.
  5. At events like the IBO major shoots, they are in their own class. They share ranges with a couple compound classes. Shooting braced kneeling, they are consistently outscored by the compounder on the 40/45 yd max ranges. And Bill, there is no significant difference in the distance an arrow travels from a crossbow vs what one from a crossbow does.
  6. Just my way of stating the obvious.
  7. Honest question - have you every been to an archery competition? Because if you have, you would know the answer.
  8. Who has ever said traditional bows are the same as crossbows or compoinds? Link please.
  9. Yep - we need help to be able to shoot those massive mature 2 year olds.
  10. You stated something could happen and strongly suggested it is dangerous. I simply said that if so, the stats would show it so from Ohio and suggested you use them to back your statement and implication.
  11. If it is happening with crossbows, Ohio must have stats showing it with like 20 years of crossbow usage. Post them up and show us how dangerous they are rather than guess.
  12. Is it your argument again then? If so, you think pop up blind with mesh should be limited?
  13. And blah blah blah blah
  14. And anyone who cannot see a crossbow is archery equipment is arguing for the sake of arguing. Or anyone who cannot see that it is far easier to be hunting proficient with a compound device than a recurve is arguing for the sake of arguing. And blah, blah, blah, blah.
  15. Answer my question 1st - why would a true bowhunter want to hide the draw with anything other than skill? Like in a tree - or in a ground blind.
  16. More similarities between a compound and a crossbow then between a recurve and a compound. Just saying.
  17. Say it isn't so. Why would a "true" bow hunter hunt from a tree? That helps hide the draw from the deer (cheating) - and we hear regularly the opinion that is what makes a crossbow not archery. I've killed more deer from the ground bowhunter, then from a tree. And many of them with a recurve.
  18. No - and I support full inclusion.
  19. A bounty on black panthers? Panthers/cougars/mountain lions are all the same animal - and it's proven they lack the gene to be melanistic (black).
  20. Except for "personal accounts" there are only a a couple small pockets in the US where "large black cats" have ever been proven to exist. NY is at least a 1000 plus miles from them. And they were not cougars but relatives of the smaller South American Jacaranda.
  21. I use the 2 ropes like Eddie and Phade. I also use another ratchet strap above the support bar around the tree when climbing the 1st time. Locks it in real tight for the final climb to put the top ratchet on.
  22. You can legally hunt it now. Just not with a crossbow.
  23. You can hunt closer than 500 ft now. Just need permission. The same permission one needs to recover the animal when it dies next to that building. If someone is not willing to give permission to hunt closer, most likely they will deny recovery as well.
